"Best alterations in MO. Sweetest ladies. Very affordable! For their work they could charge triple and I'd still gladly pay. Go above and beyond. Had my wedding dress done during covid. She took the time to move sequin design, I would lose to a hem, and moved every inch of it up. That is no small task. She took the extra time to ensure everything was perfect. Thst is the kind of care every garment will receive. Cannot wait to go see them to get my pants hemmed."

"I just picked up a second altered dress for one of our daughters. The first was a very full, satin prom dress (April, 2022) and the second (Dec, 2022) was a lined, satin dress for choral concerts which needed quite a bit of tailoring at the chest/shoulders as well as the hem shortened. All four of our visits have been very pleasant. These ladies are friendly, very courteous, professional, experts in their craft, charge very reasonable & fair prices, and even make my (sometimes awkward-feeling) teen girls feel very comfortable as their dresses are being marked for alterations while feeling a bit self-conscious about their bodies and the fit of the dress (pre-alteration). They also ask at the dressing room door if you need any help while changing into or out of your garment, such as if you need your dress unzipped, which always seems to be timed well. These ladies do an excellent job & we trust them completely. I feel like we stumbled upon a diamond in the rough; we highly recommend The Sewing Room & will definitely be back for any future alterations!"

"I cannot say enough great things about this place for alterations. She did my wedding gown for me, and my Bridesmaids also. My wedding gown when I wore it looked like I had been poured into it and could not have looked more gorgeous on. And she was right, I didn't step on the front hem at all on my wedding day even though it flowed pretty close to the ground. That's precision. The ladies there are so nice and made it special for all of us. I will be going there and referring others for literally anything that needs to be altered in the future. Excellent quality!! 5 Stars!!!"

"I’ve had previous good experiences here with a couple dresses but my last experience was disappointing. I brought a bridesmaid dress in for alterations and was measured by a person I’ve never worked with before. I explained what I wanted done and was told that the dress couldn’t be taken in because of the style and told me shortening the straps would help it fit tighter. Seemed weird but I went along with it because of my previous good experiences. Got the dress back (unfortunately I was not the one to pick it up) and the straps were shortened so much that they almost don’t reach over my shoulders and the hem was extremely uneven. I ended up taking the dress to a different alterations place who told me yes the dress can be taken in like I initially requested and they fixed all the issues including leveling out the hem. 3 inches had to be taken off the front hem to match the back hem from the first alterations job…. Only issue left is the straps which can’t be undone. Not the experience I’m used to having at this place at all."

"Out of all the alteration stores I have been to, this one has stood out the most. With the lowest prices they still give the best quality and more bang for your buck. The sweet little lady was very nice to me to make sure my order was done correctly. I highly recommend this alteration store it is simply the best."
