"After today I won't ever spend another dollar at a Walgreens. My child had an emergency and needed a controlled substance immediately, before being admitted to the hospital. His doctors office called 4 times, they were hung up on twice and disconnected twice in an hour. Before I continue, I want to mention, the pharmacist is the only one who can take the order for a controlled substance. I was actually walking in to pick up the prescription, when the doctors office called me to tell me what was going on, insisting that the Walgreens could see it was a provider from children's hospital calling and that they should be answering. So I approached the pharmacy, telling them what was going on. Here's how the pharmacist responded "I'm on hold on a call and it hasn't been an hour, so they haven't called 4 times in an hour" His doctors office, who was still on the phone asked if they could leave a number for the pharmacist to call or if they could speak to her. She flat out refused and said to call and leave a voice mail. It was so bad, that everyone at the hospital when we arrived this evening was apologizing for the pharmacist abhorrent behavior, saying they've never had a pharmacist or pharmacy act the way Fenton Walgreens did. I've observed this pharmacist while picking up prescriptions in the past and she needs some training in compassion and professionalism. She also seems very angry and inconvenienced all the time. I am going to contact corporate with a formal complaint and a statement from the hospital. If she hates her job as much as it appears, maybe she should go elsewhere."
