Hy-Vee Grocery Store

"Feb 4th 2024 I went to get a few groceries, which included meat from the meat counter. As we approached the counter Thomas greeted me and asked if we were ready, I let him know we were still deciding. The meat counter was very busy and loud as many people were being helped, Thomas was very patient. I let him know I wanted to get a bundle so he came around the counter to show me the options and gave me over and above customer service! (He deserves a raise and recognition) While he was helping me, Jeff another employee rudely told him he needed to come back behind the counter, taking his 5 star service from him and me. Jeff rudely over talked Thomas to the point I had to refrain from letting Jeff know just how I felt about his rude attitude. AL also interjected and interrupted Thomas while he was trying to get my order. The whole time Thomas remained professional although his coworkers were demeaning him and humiliating him in front of me and the other surrounding customers! Bottom line if you go to this meat counter ask for Thomas he will get you taken care of! He is the go to when I go in! Jeff and AL need a crash course in customer service, and how to treat customers, and fellow coworkers. Thomas keep up the amazing customer service!"

"This HyVee clearly understands how important discounts and sales are in this economy. Unlike the Independence stores (which are always totally unprepared for or unconcerned about customers during big sales event weekends) this particular store is well-supplied with plenty if sales items and seemed to have extra cashiers and other employees on-hand for the crowds. This store is incredibly well-managed and serves to show how a grocery store can and should be run!"

"I unknowingly left my wallet in the cart I was using. And started home, realizing I didn’t have my wallet I back tracked to HyVee. Thank goodness someone turned it in to customer service. I really appreciate your service there."

"Hy-vee is super clean and employees are helpful. Restrooms are adequate. Prices might be a little higher than other stores. If you become a Perks member and follow the deals, you'll be much happier with your receipt. The Perks Plus program allowed me to order groceries and have them delivered, which was handy after my surgery."
