"UPDATE: the shop promised a refund of the rusted part. Thank you for your efforts to correct that situation. Went to this shop for several years because they come highly recommended. My 2 biggest complaints are that their parts rust within months of being installed (I.e I needed a new muffler after 2 years) There were holes rusted through the one they put on my car and visible rust after 6 months post installation. When I asked about the rust at 6 months they said it was because of the rain, but I asked a different mechanic and they said it was very cheap metal for it to have rusted that badly. For reference, the new one is from a different mechanic and is still shiny and rust free months after installation. My brakes have held up so far but visibly they’re entirely covered in rust. Secondly, they initially were very good about calling with an estimate before doing work, but then they installed a part without asking me and charged 400$. I thought about negotiating but wanted to pay them for their labor. But they should have called me with an estimate before doing the work. I have spent a lot of money at this business and hope that their work holds up."
