"Stopped here while in town on a conference for work due to so many local suggestions. Wow, we were not disappointed! The service was amazing and super friendly and took them up on a couple specials they mentioned. Ribs were by far the best I’ve had, from here to 10 places in Austin and Houston I’ve tried. Unreal. Best I’ve had in KC as well. The brisket was juicy and the sides and sauces were fantastic. If you choose one BBQ joint in Kansas City area, try here first. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Terry Black’s in Austin and Harps In KC. The best."

"My favorite BBQ in Kansas City. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. Their brisket, sausage, and specials are all great. Tyler, the owner, is the man. Very kind and client serving."

"On our continued quest for the best barbecue in the Kansas/Missouri area, my husband and I drove 75 miles to try Harp. We ordered the Tailgate Pack and a slab of ribs. First impression, it is a LOT of meat for the money. Second, this is true Texas style ‘cue. The brisket is thick cut with a simple rub and is not sauced. It is juicy with a nice flavor and chew. The burnt ends are so tender, they literally melt in your mouth. The jalapeño cheddar sausage has a nice smoke flavor with big chunks of cheese and just the right amount of jalapeños. The ribs are terrific. The simple rub and the smoke make the meat the star of the show. We didn’t even try the sauce with the meat, it’s not needed. We will be back!"

"Tried this place for lunch. It was my first time trying Harp BBQ and it lived up to the hype. Very good BBQ. I had the Truth Bomb sandwich (chopped beef and sausage). It was phenomenal. Will definitely get it again. I had cheesy corn for the side and it was good but when I added some beef pieces left from my sandwich, some red onion that came with my sandwich, and a little BBQ sauce it became exceptionally good. The only negatives are it is a little pricey and they ask for a tip when you order at the counter. A sandwich, side, and soda set me back $23 after tax and before the tip. They unfortunately ask for a tip when checking out and before you get your food. That always feels like extortion not gratuity but a lot of places do this now. Still it the food was filling and delicious so I’ll be back to try some other things and to get that sandwich again."

"I was feeling adventurous the other day and decided to try a new to me barbecue joint that's not your typical Kansas City fare. It's called Harp Barbecue, and it's all about the different style of smoking meat. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The portions were huge, and the meat was tender and flavorful. I especially liked the sausage, which had a nice snap and spice to it. But the real stars of the show were the sides. The potato salad was creamy and delicious, and the mashed sweet potatoes were heavenly. They even gave me a cookie for dessert, which was a sweet gesture. I felt like I had traveled to Texas and back in one meal. I will definitely visit again and try some more of their delicious dishes."
