"What is the service you received? A. Sharing a meal with my besties! What was positive? A. The food was so delicious! (We had the tomato and miso broth.) B. The portion sizes were amazing! C. They give adequate to-go containers D. Better than the hot pot I had in China! What was negative? A. I didn't have more stomach space for the food. B. I didn't wait to take more photos because we dove right in. Sorry!"
"Ordered House Soup with Lamb Breast, Wagyu, and Beef Tenderloin for the meats. Also ordered many other vegetables. For the most part, the soup and food was great. I would say though the Lamb Breast was very tough to eat. Some ingredients may taste less fresh. For most of the meat, it would just have to be cooked for a couple of seconds. The table was a bit tight so the chairs bumped into others behind."
"It was my first visit to a restaurant like that, so I was confused about what to do. The food was fresh, and now that I know how to cook it, I'd probably have a better experience. There was only one person doing everything, so don't be impatient when you go. Once it slowed down, the server was really nice. I did get about three meals from the leftovers. I think adding a flyer on what to do at the tables would help us first-timers. The atmosphere was nice, big open restaurant. Loved the sauce bar."
"I learned about Lotus from a shared Instagram post. First of all, be hungry and be prepared to take time. This is not the kind of meal that you rush through. You enjoy it! Once you make your choices, add them to the broth and enjoy."
"First time at a Hot Pot spot. You order all the meat and veggies you want, they place a hot pot on your table and you cook your own food. It was fun! The food was fresh and tasty and the service was great!"
