"Growing up here my whole life and having Aunt Jenny's nearby made it nostalgic to come back 15 years later. Yet, nothing had changed from how delicious it was! Our waitress, Fritz, was charming and generous, so I really appreciate that. You don't get food like this at any trendy restaurant in a big city because they wouldn't know where to start to get the ingredients right, or to achieve the same traditional flavor."
"Nestled in a wooded area of the back bay with stunning views of it throughout the restaurant is what has to be one of the best local restaurants in the area. The home decor and southern charm add to the appeal. We were quickly seated and brought out the most delicious biscuits. The butter, jelly, and marmalade made for perfect toppings to them. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and ensured that our drinks were always filled before they were empty, we never had to ask for refills. The food was perfectly cooked and piping hot when it was delivered to the table. The chicken had amazing flavor and the perfect crunch to the breading! Those that had the shrimp were equally pleased with the portions and the flavor of the dish. Overall it was an incredibly delightful meal one which we won't soon forget. I can't wait to come back here again in the future."
"Cannot give enough kudos for this spot. It started with the warm biscuits and Blackburn syrup when seated. Ordered the 3-side plate for an app. Probably the best fried pickles we've had, along with fried green tomatoes and okra. Then had the fried catfish and shrimp. The fry on all items were great. The breading was perfect. All were crispy, nothing soggy. Will definitely make the trip back from the FL Gulf Coast to visit again!"
