"Just to start, Amanda is truly amazing at what she does. She showed the utmost compassion and empathy during our sessions and really taught me what a good therapist was!! I started seeing her during my freshman year of college, through to my junior year. With her I was able to create a solid foundation for all of my future therapy work. She doesn’t let you BS your way through sessions. She knows when to be firm and call you out, and when to let you work through an idea to see what your thought pattern is like. Her office was also my favorite office of any therapist i’ve seen. the most comforting, warm environment. Also to comment on the reviews saying she’s not responsive , she’s the only one working!! she doesn’t have a receptionist which obviously means that if she is in a session with someone else, she can’t get back to you., I loved being able to reach out directly to her, even when it took longer to respond. Amanda! I miss you!"

"Amanda kindly took me in during a season of my life wherein support meant life or death. Her compassion and warmth made me feel safe to explore and work through some deep traumas. She has a mindfulness approach to healing with a focus on the relationship between the physical body and the emotional/mental, which began the process multilevel healing and awareness for me. My life was truly saved by her empowering, loving voice and perspective. I cannot thank her or recommend her enough. It saddens me to see these 2 poor reviews as they are from folks who did not receive her treatment. "Amanda Lies is often away from office, which is not good for clients who need consistent work. She did little with the psychiatric aspect of treatment, and was inconsistent and awkward with talk therapy. She was also inconsistent implementing her policies. Would recommend attempting to find someone more professional for people looking for consistent and effective work."
