"One word. RUN. Do NOT utilize this company; honestly, I can only imagine that ANY other company would be better. Not only did over HALF of my belongings not arrive with the destination movers (all of my clothes are missing, my queen pillow top mattress, several large pieces of furniture, my dresser, table lamps, and so much more), but most of what did was damaged and/or broken beyond repair. Further, I received a box of someone else’s kitchen items that appear as it the box had been violently thrown down a flight of stairs and immediately taped up, as well as someone else’s mattress that had been almost completely folded in half. When I notified the movers that those two items weren’t mine they legit asked me, “Well who do they belong to?” Additionally, they openly admitted to NOT double checking the inventory list from the truck they picked my stuff from prior to arriving at my newly-moved to destination. They, and I quote, “Assumed that because it was already on a truck that it must’ve already been accounted for.” I immediately reached out the the individual who initially notified me when my items had left my destination of origin to describe the horror I had experienced and, while he said he was “dumbfounded” to hear of such news, he simply told me to file a claim. Like that was it. It was apparent that there was no concern for the company’s reputation or any offers to try to remediate other than asking if I’d give him the inventory numbers of the items missing so he could try and locate. I declined because I’d already entrusted them with my belongings once and they clearly showed me that they’re incapable of taking care of and ensuring a safe arrival. That said, IF they were to even locate the belongings missing, God knows what state they’d be in upon arrival. Honestly, how this company has bot been shut down given my and seemingly several others horrific experience is completely beyond me. My claim has been filed at this point and my valuation of the total damages was just shy of $12k. The surreptitious demonstration of events makes me weary that I’ll even received half that in a settlement, but I suppose one can be hopeful. I only wish there were ways to assign negative stars. This company truly spawns the subject of nightmares. I hope that people considering this awful business can read these countless reviews before committing. Like I said, RUN. Run far and wide of this horrible company’s grasp. Awful. Awful. Awful."
"Like many others, I found my move had been subcontracted out to this company. When I finally located my possessions, they were in a Portland warehouse "waiting for a driver." I was told the driver would contact me 24-48 hours before delivery for a time frame. Instead, he called at nearly 9 PM on Christmas Eve and said he would be arriving in the morning. When I said I had plans with family as it was Christmas, he said, "But you'll be there, right?" In an empty apartment, on Christmas? Well, no. We settled for the following day. When the delivery guys showed up they were in a Bekins truck; had the move been subcontracted out again without my knowledge? No idea. But the driver was brusque and surly. He wanted more money because of the "long delivery distance" to my apartment -- a whole 30 to 45 second walk. He balked at wearing a mask which I would provide, because I have leukemia and am immune compromised. Rather than argue and try to enforce it, I said I would leave until they were done. The first load of boxes I saw coming in were crushed, opening up, and obviously had been badly handled. From other reviews it sounds as though this is only to be expected from this company. The next morning I got a text at 6 AM saying "ETA 8:30," then another one at 8 AM saying "I'm here, come out." Not only did the guy not bother to check the number/client he was calling, but the surly commands were part and parcel of the whole interaction I had with these people. Appalling service, start to finish."
"This move was an absolute nightmare! Many of our belongings were DESTROYED due to an angry mover. He literally dropped boxes off the truck, then dropped them again onto the ground in our garage and basement, which is just off the garage. The boxes were crushed and damaged. He refused to move anything upstairs to the main floor despite my contract including one flight of stairs. He didn’t assemble any furniture, which was also in our contract. At one point he sat down and stated to my husband that unless we could paid him more money he would not move anything upstairs to the main floor. When we finally agreed to pay, he said he would only move the 1/4 of our stuff that was still on the truck and not all the items already in the garage. Throughout the move, additional charges had been added bit by bit and we ended up paying an extra $5,000 over what we were originally quoted, only to not even have our items moved in accordance with our contract! Finally, our driver, Jamaal, who was angry that I had moved the drop off date to the next day so my husband could be home, (I was in another country) continuously insulted me to his co-worker loud enough for my husband to hear from another room. When I emailed and called the company about this, all they said was “we’ll use this as a training experience”!"
"If there s a negative star, I would want to give it to this company. They are fraud!! They claim that they have insurance but the settlement company is also a Fraud too. They mailed out the settlement letter with no contact phone number. First they quote us a reasonable price. On the day of picking up, they requested to increase around $1000 because of a TV stand, which they consider it is over size. We paid for it because we got the TV stand for more than $3000 and it is last minute. We are promised 2 to 3 weeks but it took almost 2 months to have our stuffs delivered. They always blame Covid. The worst is lot of boxes with resell value goods are gone. My husband lost the whole collections of his 4k movies. The oversize $3000 TV stand that packed their staff is also gone too, no even a piece of wood show up. We wondered how could they that huge TV stand lost or mix with other's customer stuff!! Boxes of unopened cosmetic and day care supplies worth about $500 each box all gone. We got some broken furniture. Our Italy made desk got chipped. My husband laptop screen got cracked. When calling their customer service, they asked us fill out forms and provided the list. We got all that and take us hours to complete those. The insurance company takes about 90 days to investigate and offer us $213 as settlement. It s a joke!!!"
"I thought that I was hiring another company to move my household goods from Puyallup, WA on 2/2 to Katy, TX and I was stuck with this company. I was not aware that they would be moving my stuff until they showed up. The company I hired Alliance Moving and Storage did not inform me that someone other than them would be moving my stuff. It definitely felt like a bait and switch. If I had been notified in advance or at least the day before pickup I would have been able to research the company. Researching them I would have found that they have a customer rating of 1.5 stars and and BBB rating of F+. There is no way I would have allowed a company with those ratings and horrible reviews to take my stuff. At pick up I asked about who their company was and they said that they would just moving my items to the semi for moving. I asked multiple times about how long it would take to get my items. I reviewed the contract and I asked the supervisor about the 5-25+ days indicated on the contract and he assured me that I would get my items way before the time I needed them. I told him if it was going to take more than 14 days I would move the items myself and he assured me that it would take no longer than 10 days to get my stuff. Also, the price of my move increased by $1500. I did understand that I had more stuff than I originally thought. I arrived in Katy and was expecting my items by 2/9. Many days, then weeks went by and nothing arrived. I called multiple times they never knew anything and they promised to call back and that never happened. I discovered that my items sat in Oregon in a semi or a wharehouse for weeks I was even told at one point that I could come get them myself if I wanted my items sooner. Weeks later I was informed that my items were in Texas and I still did not get them until a few weeks later. When I received my items on 3/10 many items were missing, two area rugs, my family pictures, laundry detergent, fabric softener and hand soap that was in a laundry tub. My 55 inch TV was broken, pictures broken, glasses and mirrors were broken as well. My bins were cracked and broken some were taped back together. Boxes were caved in due to heavy items being placed on them. My stainless steel refrigerator had scratches on the front. Luckily, my furniture was not damaged. In closing, do not for any reason use this company to move across the street. You will regret it emotionally and financially. If I could have given them a negative score I would have."
