"We have the program where daycare is reimbursed monthly after having an initial amount removed from paychecks. It’s a great program. But it has poor execution. This last reimbursement took them 30 days to reimburse. We had 4 long winded phone call marathons with various workers. They are kind and positive, and utterly powerless to fix broken things. This last problem was best explained by a glitch where 2023 becoming 2024 broke the system this month. Let me be clear, 5 stars for how hard they try to help, but 1 star for how devastatingly broken their daycare reimbursement program functions. Grade A dumpster fire."

"I've been dealing with an issue since September with American Fidelity who have been giving me the runaround. One person will give me false promises, while the other says those promises will not be honored. When someone from a company says they'll do something (even if they shouldn't have been making those promises) I expect it to be honored. I have also given the times I am available to be called & yet I am called on the days I am not available... thus being given the runaround."

"American Fidelity supplemental insurance is irresponsible and doesn't pay attention to their claims. They overpaid a substantial amount to us and demanded repayment immediately. I was very swift in trying to make that happen and I got the runaround from several different employees about how to make that happen. One of the women laughed at me when I asked about how I was supposed to make sure they actually got my repayment, And the the other wouldn't even give me adequate information as to where I was supposed to send repayment. The customer service was horrible and the fact we're even in this situation is crazy to me."

"Another year, another review. Once again my accident policy from American Fidelity has been a blessing to us. My husband and I were hit by a drunk driver a few months ago and I sustained some injuries. While the driver thankfully had insurance covering medical expenses, we’ve needed some help due to limitations from injury. Shortly after my husband slipped on a wet floor and had to have some X-rays done. As with every single claim we’ve ever filed (and there have been many… turns out we are quite accident prone!) our claims were handled quickly and efficiently. The extra cash has been very helpful as we will not get a settlement from insurance yet with medical treatments ongoing. Bonus - not for the first time, the claims reviewer actually found a benefit we weren’t expecting when we submitted our medical records. An extra unexpected $50 was a nice surprise indeed. I just renewed my policies (after the positive early experiences with the accident policy I signed up for several other supplementary insurances) and as always had a wonderful experience. Anna and Nicole are both awesome reps. Never any high pressure pitches, but always good reminders to claim wellness benefits. I was glad for the reminder to check my last reported salary on my disability policy to be sure I’d be adequately covered for income replacement if needed. Anna even investigated if my latest accident might qualify for a second small benefit under another policy. Just outstanding customer service all around and honest responsive care when paying out benefits. Thank you, American Fidelity!"

"American Fidelity manages HSAs, FSAs and supplemental insurances through my workplace. I have had wonderful experiences with them. I bought an accident policy years ago based on having a young son. He is now a teenager and while we have never made a claim for him, my husband and I have both made multiple claims. I had a major hiking accident that resulted in a concussion, a broken nose, stitches and staples. I had ZERO issues making a claim and actually qualified for some benefits I hadn't thought to claim but that the reviewer found in my medical review. We have made multiple claims for even smaller accidents like sprained ankles and more small sets of stitches than I would ever have thought possible for two grown adults. Our claims have been processed quickly and easily. The representatives who have worked with me over the years during signups always review options to claim wellness benefits. While we don't have huge claims every year, I know with our higher deductible medical insurance, the benefits will be a major relief should we ever experience a serious accident that might have us out of work or push us toward our medical insurance out of pocket maximum. I recommend this company 100% percent."
