Galaxie at Sellwood

"Apartment 214 pay attention!! I enjoyed the apartment itself however there were multiple issues during the time that I lived there. Property manager was changed 4 times in the span of 1 year while I lived there. The major issue I had while living in apartment 214 (the handicapped studio) was the VERY LOUD music coming from the restaurant below (poke box). This apartment is situated directly above the restaurant. Every single day from 11:00AM until 9:30 pm or later there would be loud music that had intense bass playing that would shake my furniture and the walls in my apartment. I would have to turn up my TV to a very loud level in order to drown it out. I tried to address this issue multiple times with multiple employees of the restaurant (including managers), they would maybe turn it down slightly for 1 day, then go right back to blasting the music all day long. Tried to address this issue with 2 property managers at galaxie/tmg and they basically just shrugged their shoulders and said "we can't do anything, tough". The music is absurdly loud if you happen to live on the 1st floor. I feel very sorry for the residents on that floor. I think this is just something anyone should be aware of if they are moving into apartment 214. Another random note, some days the lobby will smell like rotten garbage due to poke box not taking out their trash. It's pretty gross."

"I loved living at Galaxie! I always felt safe as a single woman. Secure parking and secure entry. The ability to walk and do almost anything is also a great plus! Close to downtown with out the downtown hassle. The staff at the apartments were friendly and knowledgeable. Savannah is always looking out for the residents needs, with a friendly smile and professionalism. Maintenance staff was respectful of my space and the repairs were finished right the first time, I didn't have many!! I would live here again! I had the chance to live in an "alcove" unit and then a two bedroom with a balcony. The sunsets were beautiful!"

"We have been living at the Galaxie for over a year now, and we absolutely love our unit! We are on the fourth floor and have a gorgeous view of the neighborhood. The location is absolutely perfect for walking to the nearby restaurants and yoga, and I also love to use the gym in the building on rainy days. Management is incredibly kind and helpful, and we have never had any issues that weren't immediately dealt with! I recommend Galaxie to anyone looking to live in Sellwood."

"My husband and I were looking at places to move to in Sellwood coming from the Lloyd district and we just happened across Galaxie walking by. Took a tour and decided right away to apply. Wonderful management - Savannah and Randy are wonderful and super nice. It’s obviously they really care about the tenants unlike other places we have lived. I’ve seen complaints about the building being noisy but we haven’t noticed anything that is out of the ordinary for apartment living. The community room is stocked with ammenities and has a wonderful view. We will definitely be renewing our lease when it’s time."

"My experience at Galaxie has been awesome! I've lived here for about four months now and this is the best rental experience I've ever had. The staff, Savannah and Randy, are always eager to help. Common areas are spotless and the community amenities are a real attraction for me (workout room, rooftop patio and entertainment space, and two!! bike storage rooms). My neighbors are all friendly and say hello in the hallway. I feel safe, welcome, and at-home living at Galaxie and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood."
