Daveneaux Apartments

"I love the rain and with the windows at the Daveneux it's like the rainy weather is right in your living room."

"Anchor NW (the management company) had this building (and five of their other buildings) flood this winter. This buildings flood was so bad every single person had to be displaced. They only housed tenants in hotels for 4 DAYS after the flood occurred and then we are all on our own. They also refused to tell me if they were going to do anything next winter to prevent more flooding at any of their properties. Additionally, they were super disorganized trying to deal with the aftermath of this crisis. I was forced to communicate with at least 5 different people over just a few days, and many of my concerns were ignored. I was told that I must want “special consideration” over all the other tenants because I am a wheelchair user who asked for wheelchair accessible housing."

"I’ve lived here for 6 years, and l am very happy. If l have a maintenance issue, the problem is resolved right away. I’ve lived in other places where you could wait for weeks. I wouldn’t mind a rent decrease, however…lol"

"Nice building and a good location, but a poor experience since the pandemic started. Anchor NW has stated they are no longer doing any non-emergency maintenance in units, as long as the pandemic continues. This includes clogged toilets. This building can only be entered via a lobby and internal stairwell/elevator, which are poorly ventilated. Management has said that they will not be installing a HEPA or other filtration system in the elevator. So for folks who are trying to avoid shared indoor spaces while the pandemic continues, this apartment building is not ideal. The units seem fairly well insulated from noise from other units, but you can definitely hear noise through the front door. Bottom floor hallway frequently smells like garbage from the recycle & trash room. The finish in the units themselves is very nice quality--faux wood floors, quartz counters, all appliances are satisfactory. Corner units have lots of windows for natural light."
