Oriel Apartments

"Cars in the complex parking lots are vandalized on almost a weekly basis. Management does nothing to enhance security at the place. How about installing more lighting? How about posting No Trespass signs? How about securing access to the driveways with electric arms so anybody and their brother can't just drive in.(like the hundreds of gig drivers who might be casing the place). Controlling access to a facility is a NO BRAINER when it comes to security protocols. How about installing exterior cameras and posting signage that the parking lots are under 24 hr. surveillance? Management seems to care more about the landscape maintenance than they do about tenant security. The outside contract security service is a waste of money as the rate of thefts and vandalism seems to be increasing since they have been retained. Absolutely no deterrents exist for anybody wishing to do harm here. I no longer feel safe and secure at this complex after 4 years. Potential renters you have been warned. *UPDATE 1/14/22 - Wanted to share that a VEHICLE was STOLEN on 12/23/21- not the first time , there was other occurrences of stolen vehicles during 2021. And today 1/14/22 we received yet another notice that catalytic converters were stolen from 2 more vehicles and items stolen from inside a 3rd vehicle during this past week. *Between 1/19/21 and 1/14/22 I have received -6- notices related to vehicles stolen, stolen catalytic converters on numerous vehicles or items stolen from inside the vehicles. You have many choices when deciding where to rent; choose wisely and think about SECURITY. *11/20/23- Received email advising tenants that some garages were vandalized during the weekend (11/17-11/19). Owners have done nothing to augment security on the premises since I started this thread. Except for changing the worthless security contractor multiple times. Funny how they are never around to deter bad actors. Useless waste of money."

"Do NOT rent from this place! I was a prospective tenant and attempted to view apartments on a Sunday afternoon long before closing. I showed up and the office was locked and dark. The following week i went into the office and spoke with the manager and she said hmmm, there should have been someone here. I then went to view the apartment we were going to rent and found two windows open and mine broken one out of its frame. This all while there was a rain storm with rain going sideways with the window sills filling up with water and the carpet getting soaked. I went back the following Saturday to show the apartment to my wife and the windows were STILL OPEN and the other one still out of its frame. Oh and it was raining off and on all week. Also, NO ONE at the office AGAIN. We went back two hours later, STILL NO ONE at the office. Now, take into consideration they have a LOT of units available for such a small community and that should indicate that this is a typical operating system for this complex with little to no care about what happens to the community or the residents. AGAIN, rent at your own risk."

"This apartment complex and its staff were incredible. We lived in other places in Raleigh Hills for 5 years and by far The Oriel was the best. We lived here for one year and were incredibly happy with the professionalism and maintenance. Whenever we had an issue with our appliances, the maintenance men (Greg and Kyle?) were always prompt in repairing or replacing (which really wasn't too often). They keep up with the grounds and are always friendly when passing. Our dogs loved it too! Thank you Oriel for being home to us! We only moved because of jobs and needed to leave the state. Would rent here again and highly recommend it! (1 bed, 1 bath bottom floor unit)"

"The management was very prompt and thorough about repairs, move in, and move out while we were living here for 1.5 years. Julie knew our names and remembered us every time. The apartments are on the older side but still functional. Gas stoves, washer and dryer were a plus for us! Just also know that there is a high school nearby so you can hear sports events on some Fridays but otherwise it was extremely quiet, convenient, and very peaceful. We loved all the trees!"

"Honestly way overpriced based off the shape of the unit, little to no response from the management team. Regretting this decision to lease here more and more each month. Wish there was a way to give 0 stars. you can get a much better place for 1600 for a 2 bed 2 bath. Great schools around but horrible apartment and staff. Update. Submitted a work order 8+ months ago that has yet to be fixed, you would think a place that charges this much for rent would have a competent maintenance staff, but instead it is staffed by one extremely lazy person. Called the manager about it to complain and she just said "sorry that it hasn't been fixed." I Strongly recommend looking elsewhere to live it is not worth the amount spent to have this kind of horrible service feel free to email me. I have pictures of before move in and will soon have them of after. The windows are all rusted on the inside with mold growing inside of them seems super healthy! Wish i could give this place a -10 or worse score."
