"Today I "HAVE" to be over generous and rate this place with a one star rating. This is my story: "I was due to go for hip surgery at Legacy Orthopedics hospital in Silverton Oregon, but had to get my pacemaker checked out first. On my arrival I was taken into a room where the young female assistant checked my pacemaker which was working fine, then she used a stethoscope to listen to my heart rate, that too was fine she said, (the same result as that taken by a nurse at Legacy hospital 3 days previously). Ten minutes later I was in the doctors office, who also checked my heart rate using a stethoscope, amazingly I now have heart palputations, he also said I have blood clotting, how he came to this decision I don't know as no tests were carried out. When I mentioned the two previous stethoscope checks I had that week, one being 10 minutes ago he kind of flipped and began muttering quietly under his breath. I grabbed my wife and headed for a very quick departure fearing that he may have swallowed a potion that would fully transform him into a modern day Mr. Hyde.""

"I'm a retired nurse and the blood pressure the nurse took was completely inaccurate because she did it super fast and through my thick sleeve. I have no idea how she heard the heartbeat. Her hair was down to her waist, not put up just dangling all over the place. She kept flipping her head so her hair would sway. The Dr was not very nice. I told her I had a tremendous amount of stress and that is the reason for my high blood pressure and she told me to go get an X-ray because I smoke and she wants to look for cancer. These people have no ability to see the whole person as a medical professional. A cardio place that doesn't know how to take a blood pressure?? Amazing. It's hilarious how the only respond to positive reviews. That indicates no need to change or address peoples concerns. Won't be back"

"Don’t recommend going here at all at least to see Dr. Hughes. I have a pretty good understanding of health and went to be seen for some issues. A test went wrong due to possible poor administration (that’s what is thought from other doctors). After that incident happened, the only thing I can say is the tech that was there was an absolute angel and waited with me after closing so that I could be picked up because I couldn’t drive after what just happened. She could tell I was visibly unwell and cared. Following that appointment the doctor proceeded to tell me nothing is wrong and women are just naturally anxious so that was, in her opinion, what my issue was. Interesting conclusion given my endocrinologist, regular provider, and myself know better. I understand things can go wrong but the dismissal from her after the fact was definitely convenient on their part. Needless to say I won’t be going anywhere near there again."

"The clinic manager at this location should be fired. No one answers their phones. You get voicemail no matter who you try to reach. You phone tree is ridiculous unless you know your Drs name you cant leave a message. No one returns your call. In 2 weeks the four messages I left never were returned. My Dr and myself have been trying to get my stress test results for 2 weeks with no luck. Nothing is in My Chart and no one will call us back. Today I left two more messages. This clinic needs some protocols put into place and new management. You should not run a heart clinic this way. Make some changes immediately. I can’t get my results and can’t reach anyone so you want to go to a clinic like this? Schedule elsewhere."

"I don't normally leave reviews but I feel this needs said. I recently took my father in for ultrasound of his heart and a young blonde girl named Jill came up front to call him back. My dad's in his 80s and can't move as fast as she was. As she's ahead of him down the hall with her back turned she asked how he was doing, he didn't answer because I guarantee he didn't hear her. So I said he's very hard of hearing. With her back turned away again she repeats herself in same tone, to which he still doesn't answer due to not hearing her. She turns looks back at him rolls her eyes and chuckled. I repeated myself to her He's VERY hard of hearing.....I'm glad he didn't see that. He's already anxious about going in for these appointments. I just want to address that a lot of these patients carry anxiety and stress going into these appointments and to please show some compassion and have heart. You work at a heart center with vulnerable people please keep that in mind."
