Gentle Dental Skyline

"Erin was my assistant and she was HORRIBLE. When she was doing my xrays, she kept jamming the arm of the piece into the side of my mouth and my top lip. Even when I would shriek in pain and jerk away, she kept going and shoving!! I am *not* a complainer at the dentist, but I can't even explain to you how much she hurt me. I literally thought I was bleeding. You can see in the picture how red the side of my mouth is from her. Terrible!! So NOT GENTLE. And when I requested to not see her again, they told me she comes with the dentist! Ugh. I'm literally going to see about switching from this place. That's how much I don't want to see her again."

"I would give this location a lower rating if they did not do a great job with my son’s orthodontics. In October I had an appointment for myself, I had double booked myself with another VERY important appointment that was virtual. I had explained that I had done this when I checked in. I was told not a problem it won’t be an issue. I started my virtual appointment and only had to be on for 10mins max. They knew and when I checked in knew. Mind you I got pulled back for my appointment 15mins LATE. I tell my hygienist they know I am here and are okay with me starting my cleaning. She did not start my cleaning although was told okay to start by my doctor even. She waits until that appointment meets the minimum time and then says “I’m canceling your appointment” I asked why and was told because you were in the phone the whole time. And you pulled me back 15mins late. Fast forward to today, my son has his cleaning and we were told he was seeing said hygienist that canceled on me after being 15mins late. I told the receptionist then we will need to cancel his appointment because she won’t touch my child. Also while confirming this appointment I told them over the phone the situation. Also confirmed my appointment for April advised them okay because I am a working mom, would have to pull my youngest (8 almost 9) from school 20mins early and jet to my appointment. Was told kids can’t go back, and I had plenty of time to find arrangements for my youngest. I advised the person over the phone this is not an option. And go ahead and cancel my appointment I will look for a new establishment. Today at my son’s appointment the dentist himself said that this has always been policy and he doesn’t even like when parents come back, with their MINOR children. Nope red flags. My kids are minors. He said he has had kids licking the floor and that there has been studies that show that parents going back with kids causes anxiety for the kids. I guarantee my kids will be more well behaved with me there than with someone they have NO clue who you are and you have implements going at them that can look scary. Then I was told well we aren’t your babysitter. Never said you were, I was a hairstylist for 12 years and you mean to tell me you didn’t sit with you CRYING child or take them with you to go get a haircut and let them run wild through the salon? This is why I am looking for a different establishment for myself and my kids. Sorry for the book."

"Very professional, thorough. My hygienist also noticed a skin sore and asked it I’d seen my physician about. In fact I have skin surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning. I really appreciate her noticing this spot as suspicious!"

"This dentist filled a few cavities between teeth a year or two ago. These fillings always seemed to catch floss. In September, I came in for a cleaning and the hygienist flossed my teeth very rough. Later that day, the two fillings fell out. When trying to get an appointment to fix these fillings, they couldn't get me in for a month. Then, they declared my fillings fell out and I needed to schedule yet another appointment a month later! Went to a different dentist, they gave me a temporary filling that day, and in less than a week, filled my cavities and these fillings don't catch floss. Also, this place is terrible with communication. They cancelled my daughter's appointment and claimed they left me a voicemail letting me know. They definitely did not do this. I basically pulled my kid from school early to drive 20 minutes there to be told that I need to reschedule the appointment at another time i would need to take my kid out of school for. Don't go to this dentist, they have too many patients, can't fit you in, and do a terrible job."

"I came into to get my front teeth fillings replaced/ repaired and was so happy with the results! Dr James Means and his dental assistant Andrea Rodriguez went above and beyond! I feel so much more confident with my smile and I was blown away by his artistry and attention to detail. Safe to say he has a long term patient!"
