"I can't express enough how grateful I am to of had a wonderful and supportive birthing team by my side for my first born. I had such an amazing experience! Amanda, Kelsey, and the assistant Mandy we're all so gentle and caring for the entire 28 hours of my labor. I put full trust in them and they provided my family and I with the best care both prenatal and during labor and delivery. The post partum team treated us like royalty that we honestly didn't want to leave. It such a was pleasant experience it felt like a bed and breakfast vibe. If I didn't live so far away I would absolutely have my second baby with Bella Vie. Thank you again Bella Vie team for the wonderful and amazing treatment and all that you do for families."
"Absolutely amazing staff, warm and cozy facilities, and practices. I am currently sitting in bed with my wife and newborn son. Everyone has been extremely helpful and attentive but not overwhelming. They don't push anything and do anything they can to give you the most comfortable and safe birth experience that they can. I would recommend this place to anyone from how they have treated my family and provided for us."
"I have delayed on reviewing Bella Vie for a while since giving birth to my 1st baby because I had a traumatizing 60+hrs long birth experience. I've tried to not think about what happened because I do not have explanations, but I feel I can at least express my thoughts on Bella Vie. Hopefully this helps others decide the best route for their birth experience. After researching about different options I decided I'd like to have a natural birth experience and started looking for a birth center. I wanted an option to labor in a bath tub and Bella Vie offered that so after interviewing them and asking how they deal in critical situations I was led to believe that everything would be under control and that they have ultrasound machine to check baby position at birth if the need were to arise. The regular prenatal visits seemed well and I felt comfortable with how I was led as a patient up until I was in labor. My labor experience was a long one but to summarize: 5 am Wednesday at 41 weeks my labor began. 7 am Wed, mucous plug came out I called midwife line to notify of labor. All day and night Wednesday I labored home with no sleep. Thursday morning 24 hrs in labor I got checked the 1st time on my progress. I was told I am dilated to maybe a 1. I was offered benadryl by my midwife who consolidated their main midwife which would supposedly help me fall asleep. It was a surprise that their suggestion was benadryl because it's used as allergy relief and I asked them how it would help. I was told it would make me drowsy, to which I asked would it make me fall asleep? She said it would make me drowsy and tired which would hopefully lead me to fall asleep. I decided not to take it since I already felt drowsy and tired and was worried it would take away more energy from an already very tired and fatigued person that has been in labor for 24 hrs. I was sent back home. Thursday evening around 10 pm I went back to Bella Vie again to get checked. I was told that I still had a very small dilation and was sent back home again. This was not a 5 min drive each way, Bella Vie was 18 min from my home so it also wasn't the best experience going back and forth and laboring in the car. By 2 am Friday my contractions became really unbearable that the only position I could live through them was on a birth ball. About 40hrs of labor later I was finally admitted because I said that I really do not want to drive back and forth if I will be sent home again. The heartbeat was listened to regularly but not once in my time at Bella Vie during labor was an ultrasound machine (that they said they have available) used to check baby's position. Around 12 pm Friday I was checked and told I am 7 dilation and they think baby might be in the wrong position and that we might try to turn the baby by me doing certain positions while in contractions. After doing those I felt different and got into bath tub to continue laboring. Midwife checked me a few hrs later and said I made no progress and that my cervix is swallen. She suggested I go to the hospital for epidural or they can try to break my water but I'd need to do those specific labor positions again, which by that time was unbearable to me. About 5 pm Friday my husband drove me to the hospital. Upon admission I was checked and was told my dilation is 5 and that my water sack is bulging and they would break it to speed the process. I gave birth at the hospital, thanks to their professionalism 1am Saturday after 68hrs of labor. Bella Vie's treatment leaves many unanswered questions that I had brought up. My midwife told me I was a 7 so how did I go down from a 7 to a 5? Why did the other midwife in charge also not check me to verify dilation after such long labor? Also the cervix swallen turns out was just my water bulging. Why did they not offer to break it earlier after 40+hrs of small progress and only at the hospital their midwife did it as a first step? Where was their ultrasound machine to check baby position? And why did they offer benadryl? I felt like my life and baby's life were put at risk."
"I highly recommend Bella Vie for anyone wanting midwifery care that is patient centered and attentive. They truly care about each and every one of their families and strive to make everyone feel empowered and safe. I loved giving birth here for my first pregnancy and baby! It was absolutely a wonderful experience."
"We are so happy with our Bella Vie experience! The midwives are amazing! Amanda helped me through a miscarriage and then helped me deliver my rainbow baby 11 months later. The midwives are all so friendly, understanding, genuinely caring, they take their time, and of course do a great job with labor and delivery. The birth center itself is very cozy, welcoming, and calming. The tubs are big, the beds are soft, and the food itself deserves 5 stars! Lord willing, I hope to deliver more babies at Bella Vie, and highly recommend it to others!"
