"My 88-year-old friend was in need of rehab following surgery and received those services at West Valley. She came to West Valley not able to stand on her own and left a couple of weeks later walking. The PT and OT staff was exceptional. The nursing staff, service staff, and social workers were as well. Without exception, they were competent and compassionate, often doing extra to help my friend succeed in regaining her strength, confidence, and ability to function. I give them five well-deserved stars."

"I visited the ER this morning after a bad fall. From the the moment I entered, everyone was amazing from the wonderful lady who checked me in, to the technician who took x-rays and a CT SCAN, to the nursing staff and a shout out to Dr Ferroggiaro!!! I was in a lot of pain, but all these people made my visit so much better!!! Thank you Dallas Community Hospital. I live in Keizer so in the past I would go to Salem Hospital ER. While I hope to not visit the ER in the future, but if the need arises, I will be back in Dallas!! Thank you all so much. David Fisher"

"I will start this review by saying that I’ve rarely had a bad experience at this hospital. Unfortunately I have been in and out of the E.D. because of a recent diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and within the last few month’s fluctuating thyroid that my primary care and I are monitoring. My PCP through the VA has recommended that if/when I develop symptoms related to thyroid disease to immediately go to the E.D. and request blood draw specifically TSH and Free T4. I took her advice, waited until my symptoms settled enough to feel comfortable to drive. I was checked in and waited approximately 1.5-2hrs and had no problems. When I was finally seen by Dr. Corey T. Goldberg, I told him everything my pcp told me to say when being in the E.D. He asked what my symptoms were so I began to pull out papers that I’ve printed off because I’ve been dealing with a lot of brain fog, and when I went to tell him he cuts me off to aggressively say “No no no… What are your current symptoms.” Which by this point had slightly subsided… After this he had a response to the like of “I’m not treating based on your current physical symptoms” “the situation is not an emergency”. I then asked if he was seriously denying me from getting my blood levels checked when that’s specifically what my provider has told me to do, considering the VA cannot get me in sooner than DEC. And the Portland VA is nearly a 1.5hr drive. He then replied with “I’m the Dr. on shift, I call the shots”. Or something to that matter. Real bossy like manor. Way to express how you feel towards an army veteran… I then asked if I could be provided a Patient Advocate card to filed a complaint, and he says “Sure, someone will but that’s not my job.” And walked off. Real piece of work. I’ve never been so furious at this hospital before. And immediately after I was denied services, I called and got through to a triage nurse who then highly recommended I drive to Legacy Silverton Hospital. Where I was then properly treated to include a blood draw on my TSH/Free T4. If you do happen to go here, fingers crossed you catch him on a good day. If there is such a thing for him."

"went in with a very bad infection that needed to be drained. They did an ultrasound and said there was no pocket when I was sure there was, as it was close to rupturing and I was in excruciating pain. They put me on a round of antibiotics and sent me home. Apparently they didn’t use the right attachment or setting on the ultrasound machine because there WAS a pocket. It ruptured 5 days later on it’s own. Now I am being told I will need plastic surgery to fix my wound because there is no healthy tissue from letting it rupture on it’s own. This could have been avoided if they knew how to use their equipment and listened to their patients."
