"I recently had the luck of visiting this cute store over the weekend and want to give a big shoutout to its owner, Jennifer, who made my day. I went in on a whim, after seeing a sign about ordering custom 'permanent' jewelry chain bracelets, because I was hoping that just maybe I could get a clasp on delicate gold necklace changed out in time for a wedding. When I asked Jennifer if it could be done, she didn't hesitate and immediately begin doing it on the spot. The whole thing took about 30 minutes. Not only does this store have the cutest handmade local items but they also have a lot of jewelry in good taste; it's the perfect place for some holiday shopping."

"This is my favorite shop in Sellwood! It's absolutely lovely. The moment I walk in, I feel a sense of peace and calm. The way it smells, the design, and the beautiful, well-curated collection of local-made products is so inviting. And then there's the owner, Jennifer. She's so welcoming and kind and really wants to help local artists. It turns out that she makes my favorite shea butter and the best lip balm you'll ever try!"

"Jen opened this beautiful collective shop in October and she continues to add more and more unique and interesting items all the time. Her skincare products are eco-friendly, the ingredients are locally sourced, and they do wonders for your skin!! In addition to Jen skin care products, there are so many other products that make perfect gifts for a loved or yourself! She carries jewelry, candles, scarves, clothing, some shoes, artwork, etc. etc.! I really love the mirrors by Vikki DeGaa that are made out of wine bottle foils. What a beautifully creative way to re-purpose something that would normally be tossed in the trash. I have plenty of wine foils to give to Vikki! :) Jen said that she started at the farmers market and many of the products she carries in her shop are from the friends she made at the farmers market. Sunnyside Mercantile is female and Hispanic owned. Jen is a sweetheart. She is warm and welcoming, and very helpful with any info on any of the items in the store. I wish her great success! Shop local!"
