I've been trying out several stylists and salons all over Salem trying to find a decent cut for curls with lots of disappointment, until I went to Michelle! I got a cut with her about a month ago and love it, bit wanted to try styling it myself and trying out Noodlehead curl cream that she recommended based on my hair type and I am so pleased! She was very knowledgeable about all hair types and did a perfect curly cut, and even did a few things different than I usually do based on where I part my hair and curls, etc. Also, I love the Noodlehead curl cream. "Michelle of Hair Designers is awesome! I have called her up totally last minute twice now wanting to get my hair done before a business trip and she has squeezed me in both times. She is so sweet and personable, and she has really allayed my fears of getting my hair cut (after a couple of botch jobs by different people in the past). I have alopecia and have always been self conscious and nervous to get my hair done because it is very fine and thin, but Michelle knows exactly the right cut for my face and hair type. I have had three cuts by her now, and they have all turned out great! My hair looks so much fuller and healthier when I leave. Last time I did color as well, and she was able to use the least harsh products without bleach so as to cause as little damage to my fragile hair as possible, and that came out great as well. "I'm going to say something crazy: I'm even happier with my hair a week after getting it cut than when I walked out of the salon. Sometimes you get a haircut and can never get it to look "like that" again on your own. This is even better--Michelle gave me a haircut that I can spend about 3 minutes on and it looks great. I wouldn't think of my hair as curly, probably wavy, but the cut brings out all its best natural character. I did find that I had to be very active in letting her know what I wanted. Usually I get asked about what length I want, or we go over the plan before getting started. I just interjected whenever Michelle was about to start a new set of cuts and she was happy to stop and discuss what I wanted, along with make suggestions on what might work better."
