"12.26.23: During a long drive, this town was a pitstop. I was looking forward to Port Hole Cafe, but they were closed when Google said they were open. The next place with decent reviews was the Crows Nest. First, I didn't know it was a dive bar. There's nothing wrong with that, but I wanted a decent dine in restaurant. Second, we ordered the fish and chips. Never again. It was watery and no flavor. I mean, you're near the coast that can probably provide fresh fish. The tarter sauce was sour, and the coleslaw had a weird peppery taste. Third, it's not a place to take your kids for pizza. It's just the atmosphere, not for kids. Fourth, I noticed a fruit fly flying near my face and food, which was really annoying. Then, a local had to mention the fruit flies to the bartender and all he had to say was, " ummm yeeaaahhh." So I kind of chuckled because not only did I noticed but someone else had to mention it too! Fifth, I'll give kudos to the bartender for just having a bar, local, friendly vibe. Didn't treat us any different just because we are visitors."

"Good dive bar. There's 4 casino machines as well. The atmosphere was interesting as I had never been to a dive bar. The people were friendly and the bartender was funny. Do not pay attention to the hours listed on Google. Hours vary night by night, especially in the off season."

"Bar was dirty, bartender was rude because I wasn’t ordering drinks and ignored me for a while. Pizza was literally almost flavorless. Never had pizza with such little taste. Don’t waste your money here."

"This bar has been here since the early 1940s. Old as the hills dusty and with dead things on the walls. The food is good the drinks are better. If your cool you will have an awesome time."

"Dive bars magnetize with my liver and as is always to be expected on a road trip, I will stop in and drink in the best of them. Not sure that they'd self-identify as a "dive bar", but in all my experience of drinking in charismatic, rougher-style local haunts, the Crow's Nest deserves this honorable title. Food? They've got it and it's delicious. We went for the pizza after our big bear of a bartender came for our drink order and recommended it. Apparently it's a local hit. It was definitely a hit with me and my lady. Let's talk drinks, isn't it what we are here for? Of course I gravitated to a local craft brewer as being in Oregon mandates that the local made beer is consumed en mass. Can't even recall the brews I had, but they were delicious, as every one of them were, and I left with a solid buzz. Met some great warm and fuzzy locals. Oregon may be considered the people's coast, but I consider it the people's state. Humble and pleasant and some of the nicest you'll ever meet, this bar served up hospitality and some great conversations with amicable and generous strangers. This place deserves a dive bar award. No joke. If the front looks a bit intimidating, just head in from the back and thank me later."
