"It was OK for a pit stop. I like the atmosphere of the place but doubtful I'll buy food again if I stop by ever again. Waitress was too busy talking to check in on my table or would ignore my table when walking pass. No drink refills at any time, drink was empty entirety of meal. Wrong soup, waitress ignored me trying to get her attention until the prime rib was brought out and then noticed. Prime rib was good/medium rare around the edges but uncooked/Bleu/barely above fridge temps in the middle. There were probably 20 cloves of garlic which drowned out the meat. The 15oz prime rib had maybe about 9 ounces of meat it was composed of if you took out the cloves of garlic. The mashed potatoes were probably 30% mashed potatoes and 70% sour cream slapped on top, which was kinda gross. I think I would have had a better meal if I grabbed fast food to be honest. Not really worth what I spent or the drive."

"Macleay Country Inn restaurant & bar. The wknd. Prime Rib dinner is outstanding, good flavor. Excellent customer service & delicious food including loaded potato skins & homemade soups. Wonderful relaxing country atmosphere with amazing historic decor, paintings, chandeliers, & large fireplace. Fun bar is a separate area from a spacious elegant dining room with a large fireplace & paintings. We enjoy friendly staff & patrons who are repeat customers. Nice venue for birthday celebration."

"Excellent service. We had a hard day after having to put our dog of 15 years down to rest and they comped us our 2 shots. The gal was so busy but she took time to make sure we had everything we needed and she made great recommendations for tequila and offered friendly conversation. Food was good and tasted fresh. We've now had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and enjoyed it each time. We will make it a point to visit more often."

"We were a bit disappointed. We were there for a leisurely dinner. When the waitress took our order, I looked her in the eye and said please take a little to get our orders in, we don't want to be rushed. Nevertheless, we had our salads within five minutes, and before we could get through half, our entrees were on our table. We had been in the restaurant for less than ten minutes. Oh well. I set my salad aside and started on my prime rib. After several bites, I hit a spot where the texture changed and I discovered a clove of garlic, which was fine. I did a little poking around and discovered more than 12 cloves of garlic packed into my 12oz slice, which was not fine. After pointing it out to the staff, the response from the cook was, "We do that to flavor the meat. It's just the way we do it." Staff and cook need some training."

"This place has a unique feel and vibe. Food was pretty good. I got the rib eye and my wife got the fish and chips. My steak was supposed to be medium but it was a little on the raw side. I didn't mind but for those who haven't been here keep that in mind. It was still good! It was very busy and they seemed a little short staffed so this may have had a roll in how our dinner went. Hopefully we can come back on a slower night."
