Roger's Restaurant

"It's not at all surprising to me to see how many stellar reviews Roger's has gotten. I went on a date here the other night with my partner who has been going here since they were little. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a welcoming retro American diner appearance. The staff is playful, kind, and very attentive. I know we're just two of thousands of customers but staff made us feel special and seemed to really enjoy taking care of customers. The food is fantastic. My partner got a Philly cheese steak and I got the biggest pancakes I've ever seen and biscuits and gravy for breakfast the next day. We split a slice of apple pie and a scoop of icecream to top it all off. I rave about this restaurant now and anyone who wants a filling local bite, you can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner during any open hour. This is where I'll be taking friends for casual catch ups."

"It's an American diner with good prices. The quality of the food is of restaurant quality and it's the only American diner in Albany that I will eat at when I'm paying because it's the only place that seems like it has justified prices to me for their food and drinks. The breakfast portions are huge if you get the right things and the price for the aforementioned huge breakfast is under $13.00."

"I had no idea what we were missing until visiting Roger's for the first time. They were very busy, and I didn't realize that they had parking in the back of the building. They have an entrance door on both sides of the building, so you don't have to walk in the elements or all the way around to go inside. They also have clean restrooms down the hallway. I absolutely love the nostalgic atmosphere. I noticed the sign when we first walked through the door that alerts customers to choose their own seating. I love when restaurants allow you to sit wherever you're comfortable. We chose a booth over by the window. The waitress came over and greeted us. She promptly brought our drinks while we looked over the menu, and she was patient while we were trying to make a decision on our meals. The portion sizes are more than enough. I will definitely order the 1/2 portion next time. It was far too much for me to eat. The biscuits were fluffy, gravy had a great flavor. The hashbrowns and eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was amazing, and we received 4 slices of bacon. We left full and satisfied after enjoying breakfast at Rogers. I would highly recommend giving them a try. We will be back."

"Our breakfast was fantastic. I don't usually order bisquits/gravy and chicken-fried steak, but the waitress suggested it. Excellent prices also. You can't go wrong here. Everyone else must think so too as the place was busy! They kept our coffee cups full though."

"Ordering a large is Humongous enough for 3 people and fresh Deliciousness on a platter at a way affordable price . Our waitress was fantastic and had a great sense of humor."
