"I stopped here with friends and we ordered three different sandwiches, all of which were very good and generous considering the prices. The owner was very friendly and attentive and takes pride in the food he serves. I would definitely stop in again next time I'm in Albany. Just a note - the directory in the courthouse does not list Mad Platter Cafe, it says something like "Courthouse Cafe" but it is the correct location!"
"The owner that runs this little cafe is super down to earth and overall has good vibes about him and that shows in the food he makes. This is a hidden gem and I’m so happy I found it it’s one of my favorite places to go for lunch. Bro I hope you see this because that Cubano was fire my guy. You’re killin it."
"A wonderful experience. I had been given gifts cards to pay for it while I was out, they wouldn’t work. So the wonderful woman working decided to pay for our meal. Later on we called them and paid for it over the phone. Very thoughtful and the food was delicious. I had the Cuban, and my client (im a caregiver.) got a steak sub. It was absolutely immaculate, 100/10. Eat here!!!"
"Hidden gem in the basement of the historic county courthouse. The owner was super friendly. We came around closing time and the floors where already swept and mopped. Throughout our meal he checked in to make sure we were comfortable and didn't need anything. While we ate, he continued to thoroughly clean all of the cooking and service equipment. We were very pleased with our visit."
"This place is awesome! Owner is super friendly, and the food is really good with amazing portions too! I’ve tried the pastrami melt and the buffalo solider sub and both were delicious. I look forward to trying the other options! Definitely try this place if you haven’t before!"
