"Huge portions! I had a mixed plate of Shoyu Chicken and Korean BBQ Beef w/Mac salad and Pineapple Coleslaw. Also had to try the Spam Musubi as I love me some Musubi. The plate lunch was delicious, but the Musubi wasn’t as good. Tasted like it had be sitting awhile. The prices seemed a tad high, but the with the portion size it made since. Other than a little sticker shock and disappointment with the freshness of the Musubi, I was very pleased. And very full…"

"The food smelled and tasted good, but did not settle with my stomach. My husband seemed mostly fine with the food. The staff were friendly and the restaurant seemed clean, but we will still be going elsewhere for our Hawaiian food in the future."

"My first time trying this place. I was excited there was a plate lunch spot in south salem. The menus is a bit confusing at first if your from Hawaii and used to what is a “mix plate” but after patiently explaining what a “standard” plate was I figure it out. I got the spicy passion with Mac salad. The portion was huge which is great but the pulled chicken was pretty dry and not spicy at all but I could toast the hint of the passion fruit. The Mac salad is interesting, it had a grainy texture probably from the spice or black pepper but honestly didn’t have a lot of flavor. With any plate lunch place the Mac salad is a big deal. They do have spam musubi which I will have to go back and try. I will have to also try the teriyaki beef but at $17 I thought the price point was high but with the portion size I see why so probably worth trying. The teriyaki sauce included is definitely house made and was great. I think with some improvements this could be a great spot."

"My wife and I had a really great experience at Shaka Brah. I didn’t catch the servers name but she was super kind and welcoming, shout out to Florida. (Where shes from) We forgot to take a picture because we got too excited and ate the whole plate. -Slaw was sweet and delicious -Mac salad was also really good -We had the pork cabbage, it was really juicy and tender -we also got the Teri, my wife loved it. It’s a nice sweet beef finely cut up and goes great with the white rice. Can’t wait to come back. Cheers!"

"The new location is awesome and lots of seating. The staff is always friendly and the owner does everything he can to make it the best experience each visit. Oh and the portions are HUGE! This has been a staple for my family and I and we’re excited that they have a location out south again!!! Best Hawaiian food in Salem and surrounding areas"
