"Good recipes and everything is tasty. Overpriced. I can get the same type of baked goods at half the price in Nice France... Terrible service. They are rarely open. Open late and close early. Terrible atmosphere. Its clear they want you to leave asap."
"The local neighborhood bakery that, for the longest time, I’d argue, made the best pastries and bread in town. For a long time, me and anyone I knew who would go there would be greeted warmly, often by name. The employees who worked there really seemed to relish their special place as a community hub of hillsdale. I still regularly go, as the baking that happens there is still 2nd to none. But at some point in the last year or two the employee energy and vibe has become unwelcoming and brings an aura of superiority, like they are doing us (the community that supports them) a favor by just being there. There’s a lack of care and honestly a like of pride. You make beautiful pastries and bread that makes people happy! Don’t spoil that opportunity to make someone’s day with total disdain for the public and I guess maybe your job. This was the Tuna Salad Sandwich I had tossed towards me today. Whoever made this just doesn’t care about what they do, and it makes it hard to keep coming back."
"The only place I’ve found for delicious crumb cake that’s close to how I remember it from the East Coast. It’s also simply a wonderful bakery overall with great folks behind the counter. I’m not naturally a morning person, but they make mornings worthwhile."
"Stopped by this awesome bakery called Baker & Spice in the SW Portland neighborhood of Hillsdale. Portland has a ton of bakeries and this place is one of the best! Baker & Spice has an offshoot store a couple doors down called The Cakery that bakes gourmet cakes. Gonna have to try it sometime as well!"
