40 LBS Coffee Bar is a cozy café located at 824 Southwest 2nd Avenue in Portland, Oregon. Our new café at 101 SW Main St. Suite 116 is now open, offering happy hours from 4pm-6pm Wednesday-Saturday. Whether you're meeting friends, hosting a small meeting, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee, our multi-seating configurations provide a comfortable environment for all. We proudly serve products from Portland's finest suppliers, including Stumptown coffee, Steven Smith teas, Bakeshop pastries, and more. "Cool space to hang out in, downtown near the waterfront. Drinks were well made. The pumpkin pie latte was warming and tasty. The matcha latte was well balanced and creamy. The pastries were okay. I would go back for the well made drinks and chill vibe. The only thing was that there wasn't any music playing when I was there so you could hear any little throat clearing and spoon resting on a plate. Might be nice to have some music playing next time!"
"Love the atmosphere, cute little cafe in downtown portland..definitely a vibe. Self service/ clean up after yourself. The latte and the cappuccino tasted great but was cold which I didn’t appreciate on a rainy day :( The bagel sandwich was yum but the croissant was a tad salty. Overall , uhhh okay I guess."
"Fantastic food, drinks, and staff! Great cozy and friendly atmosphere! While here, there was a small hiccup with their order/ticket system, but they went above and beyond to fix our order. 15/10 would recommend ☕️"
"Really cool space to hang out and have a coffee. Enjoyed the mocha latte and corn and cheese danish. Nothing like a buttery, savory danish to start the day. Fantastic coffee and super friendly service."
"This place has become my favourite coffee place to go to for dine-in. The ambience is very cool with cozy cafe vibes and it is also a little bar at night. It is a great work/meet up place or a date place too! Coffee is great (we had mocha and latte) Avocado toast was filling and fresh. Would definitely recommend!!"
