"Had a reservation for my partners birthday, we were sat right away. Service was a little slow but we both work in the industry we were understanding and enjoying being on the other side of things. The oysters ( amazing) and lobster roll (however small) were both delicious. We ordered the braised short ribs, they were very dry, not inedible but the process of braising meat should not result in dry meat. We both took a bite and put in to the side, the waitress never apologized (I know she is the middle man, she didn’t make this dish) I asked for the check and still tipped 30%. I, as the face of a restaurant and the chef would have absolutely asked if there was anything else the customer might want or still bring dessert seeing that the customer was dissatisfied and cool about it but no. I recommend this spot for a drink and appetizer before dinner."

"Very sweet small bar tucked away in a cozy alley. The service was fantastic-got my party of two seated quickly even though we didn’t have a reservation on a Friday. The drinks were great as well as the oysters but the octopus I ordered bordered on being too salty."

"YUM! My fiancée and I were visiting Portland from London, and desperately searching for a natural wine bar. Bar Diane delivered! Their entire wine menu is natural wines, and to our delight, they had a surprisingly great range of local Oregonian natural wines on top of the typical French and Italian selection! Very unique for the area. We had a delicious chilled red and an orange, both local Oregonian wines. But, for the locals, the natural French and Italian selections should be a treat! We also had a few appetisers, which were a treat. Highly recommend!"

"Came here on a weekend night to catch up with a friend and read. We got very distracted by the delicious food options and ordered almost everything on the short menu. Every single dish was phenomenal and provided such a unique set of flavors. Really enjoyed the carrots and whipped feta with chili oil crunch! The milkbun was also so soft and warm and perfect to dip the whipped feta in. The wines were also delicious. To tie everything together, the ambience was great for a summer patio hang out. The alleyway does reverberate sound so it can get a little noisy. Great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with a small group of friends or solo dine and catch up on a good book!"
