"Once hailed as the second tallest bridge in the US, the Rainbow Bridge currently holds the title of tallest bridge in Texas. It is truly something to experience. I cross it every work day, traveling home from work. It is nothing to take lightly. The snow picture, below is what we experienced in February 2021, when the entire state froze. It was impassable for a little over a week."

"Had to have the experience of this bridge while in the area. It did not disappoint. Surprisingly fast speed limit over it. Low side rails. An exhilarating experience to say the least. Beautiful engineering site to see. Both the old and the new bridge. Most driving over are used to it so speed limit doesn’t seem to apply much so be prepared."
