"Houston visitor. Was very excited to visit Beaumont. Unfortunately I was a little early to the farmers market. As I can as admiring the “honey” stand. “Karen” just next door at her stand advised me that I could not be there until 8am (it was about 7:40am ish). She proceeded to ask me if I was a vendor (really? I had just walked in to the area with nothing. I was attending the softball tournament next door). The poor “honey” vendor never looked up. But he did say, I can’t sell anything until 8am. As if he had been scolded by “Karen” in the past. I jokingly responded “yes, I’m a vendor”. Then I realized she wasn’t laughing with me. She proceeded to the entrance to talk to the sweetest young lady. To let her know not to let people in. Really? Was that necessary? “Karen” didn’t realize I was on to her rudeness. After snapping at the nice young lady. I let her know I was leaving and not be returning. I think her jaw is still on the floor. Nevertheless, “Karen” should have greeted me with a smile and shared the importance of the restricted selling hours. I would have gladly returned. Hope someone addresses the “Karen”(bully) issue. Nice town. Bad Farmers Market Experience."
