Homewood Suites by Hilton Houma

"Maybe not a fair review, it seems like the hotel is undergoing some renovation? There are no notes or signs stating this, it just is kind of a mess. Maybe once all the renos are completed ,it would be worth the $200 we paid to stay here... as is though, barely worth half that."

"They are doing renovations on the rooms. Everything smells overwhelmingly of paint fumes. My shoes have paint on them now from just walking down the hall to get to my room. If I didn't already spend the money, I would not stay here, but as the front desk informed me, they have no other rooms available anywhere else in the hotel that isn't undergoing renovation. This is ridiculous that they are accepting reservations for rooms on a floor that has paint drying and is an active construction site. Stay far away!"

"No house keeping 3 days in a row. I have had to borrow a vacuum from front desk to vacuum my room 3 times since being here 3 weeks. I have to take my trash to the dumpster daily. Wash my sheets just to have clean sheets. If you complain here you get worse service. We are here for 6 months. For the price we are paying we should've have to clean our room."

"Don't book with Homewood Suites by Hilton Houma. Me and my wife booked a room over a month ago for us and our three children. Not only did they not have our room ready or any similar rooms available. They said they could not even refund us and we had to contact corporate for a refund for a room they again could not even give us. No complaint about the room literally the room we reserved and we're confirmed for even was not available at all because and I quote " we had another guest extend their stay". On top of this they did not contact us and had to find this out at midnight after being apart of a wedding the entire day. The confirmation email for the non-existent room even had our phone number on it as well. **2 Months Later I still havent been refunded and am still going back and forth with hilton because of the incompetent staff at homewood suites.** Dont stay at hiltion."

"A tip: if you cannot get a room on the ground floor, cancel your booking. Especially if you have a king stay. 1)The elevators are in the opposite side of the building. 2) they are very very slow. This hotel is Sub par compared to other Hilton hotels. The app keys don’t work, you must get a plastic card from the front desk. Carpets in the rooms have stains, the overall build quality of the bathrooms just seems cheap unless you are very loyal to Hilton then I wouldn’t stay here. Had to downgrade to 1 stars, the internet did not work at this hotel.. the front desk staff acknowledged the issue. Also, the TV is set to such a low brightness to save power and there is no option to change it. The settings are locked out for guest. I will not be staying here again."
