"Pro: Staff was nice, room was clean. Con: ac in room didn’t work, remote for tv didn’t work, outside door that is supposed to have key card access only is damaged and didn’t have a key pad and was unlocked at all times. It was okay for somewhere to lay my head at the end of a long day of driving."
"Horrible, very ran down. Only stayed 1 night then checked out and found a cabin to rent down the road. Staff was very nice and AC worked. However white sheet had stains on them. Smelt like lots of mold, through out the location. Cable was out for a week, which they did not tell me till my check in day. Floor tiles pilling, ceiling tiles falling. Hopefully they are just in process of remodel.... One can only hope."
"The motel now is part of the Rodeway chain. It's family run and everyone there is super friendly and attentive. The prices are good. The beds are comfortable and the AC works well. If you and your family need a place to sleep while you're having fun at the lake, this is the spot. And, the motel is dog friendly. Big plus for me."
"Great place to stay. I arrived at my camp to find the air conditioning not working, it was 10:30 at night and we had our dog with us - couldn't contact anyone until we called Sabine Lake in and they answered and got us a room. I know this place had bad reviews in the past... Ignore them - earlier this year Ms. Barbara and her family took it over and they have repainted and cleaned up the place! Very reasonable rates - pet and fisherman friendly!!! Thanks go to Ms. Barbara and her sons (I was the one with the Big Brown dog)."
"New management is really working hard to improve the facility. Recently had a 3-night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Management was very hospitable. The hotel has several rooms that are not yet completed but they are in the process of getting those back in operation. There was ample parking to accommodate our boat, with hook-ups for recharging batteries. No complaints - planning on staying here again."
