"My fiancé and I wanted a decent place to crash so we could get up early and go to Caddo Lake. We stayed in the Shipwreck, and it was exactly what we were looking for. They were lovely people and the price was great for one night. Easy to find, safe neighborhood. Definitely recommend."

"We had such a great and peaceful experience! The cottage was right on the water. This particular house was split up into two different units. We had the left side. It was still big enough for two of us. We had so much fun exploring Caddo Lake! It's absolutely beautiful!!!!! I really want to go back! The canoes are free to use! Nearby there is a small restaurant and a bar, which sometimes has karaoke and pool! We had so much fun!"

"Great location right on the waterfront. We stayed in Snug harbor #4. The website mentions the history about this house. Check it out! Definitely some fascinating history here! It’s like stepping back into time. It’s meant to be a museum or snapshot in time. It’s comfortable and has stocked kitchen."

"Our stay this weekend in the shipwreck was less than stellar. The description on the website leads you to believe that the lake is at least visible, which it is not. Our view was of the house across the street and behind the shipwreck a yard full of disused benches and birdbaths. We had no hot water, and the interior needed a major update starting with mattresses and bed linens. The fire pit appeared to be remnants of an old chimney. There’s only a single hot plate to do any cooking. Overall not worth $200 a night."

"My friend and our two boys spent the weekend at the Shipwreck. I wouldn’t describe myself as a terribly picky person, but we didn’t enjoy our trip as much as we hoped. I would not consider it lake view property. If you peek through the houses across the street, you are able to see glimpses of the lake. This was our first disappointment (perhaps we should have tried to find better images to confirm this). We did manage a trip to Johnson’s Marina to rent kayaks and the boys loved that. Be careful of all the fast moving boats coming in and out! The bed upstairs is VERY uncomfortable. It is old and really needs replaced. The linens have lost their elastic and don’t stay on the bed. The shower has mold down in the door tracks and could use some cleaning. The kitchen has just enough things to get by. I think I would t have been bothered much by all of this quite so much, but it was $407 for two nights. This seemed very overpriced for the accommodations. The owner was nice when she stopped by. I think that it’s such a cool idea, but in major need of some revamping if the price point is going to remain the same."
