"First time going worse soul food that I have ever had rice was hard, gravy was tasteless, sweet potatoes had too much cinnamon. The only thing that I enjoyed was the lemonade"
"Just ate from this place for the first time today. I ordered the smothered pork chops, with greens, and mashed potatoes. I also ordered a slice of peach cobbler. The site says the plate comes with 2x the pork chops. Well, my whole plate was off. I only received one pork chop. The bed of rice was semi hard, the mashed potatoes was replaced with spaghetti Mac and cheese which was horrible, and the peach cobbler was replaced with a horrible tasting cheesecake. The green beans were okay. The only good thing about my order was the pork chop was cooked all the way and tender. I will not be eating here again. I was highly disappointed and expected something completely different."
"I ordered the catfish platter via Door Dash. It says it comes with 2 sides but your unable to choose them. I left a note in the special instructions with the two sides I wanted. Otherwise you will pay for your 2 sides. The food had zero taste and the catfish batter was horrible. I also ordered peach cobbler for $4 and received a very small container of what tasted like an apple crisp with very little peaches. I will never order from this place again and I really wished I would have read the reviews first."
"Two visits: 1st visit food was great & 2nd visit we were disappointed. On the 2nd visit I simply re-ordered the exact same thing I got the 1st visit (Pictured below) But instead of beef tips & rice (like the 1st time) I got cube size meat pieces with bone in it. (Im white so I dont have a clue) I played it off because I didnt wana be rude, being as how I was the only white person in the building. & I got sweet potatoes the 2nd visit instead of candied yams (pictured below) like the 1st time.Technically the same thing I think, I dont know, I was raised on burgers and pizza. But the 1st time those sweet whatever's were so sweet & good! The 2nd time, not sweet at all. I mean... My husband is black & our kids are Mixed so I try & Im still learning."
