"Popped in here with our guide for lunch after a fun filled morning of local fishing. To be fair its a hole in the wall kinda place with all sorts of charm. The food was very good, being half starved made it into the best food of the day. The patty melt and onion rings really hit the spot. What turned out to be the real treat was the level of service we received. While we weren't the only customers present that day we were made to feel that they were only open to serve us and us alone, when asked if we needed anything I kept replying, "a bigger stomach". Yes it lacks curb appeal but it makes up for it in charm and old fashioned customer service. despite its lacking curb appeal I'd happily return to eat here again."

"Peggy's is the real deal. Fresh food, the best burgers ever (try the patty melt!), fried or grilled fish, and great sides. Today I got fried catfish and it was fantastic! Check them out."

"Came here on a Sunday by boat....they only had half the menu items available, place smelled like dog and restroom. As we were eating 2 dogs came in and sat with us...there was no dock for boats to pull up too...place is ok in appearance but smelled and seperated into different rooms. Looks nothing like the pictures...posting this before i eat....so stay tuned for food report....food was still good but place needs santatized"

"Hurricane Harvey took most of this place's size and menu. The catfish "whisker"poboy and the house made crab cakes were well worth the drive over. I am sure that the owners will build more out when they can. The small dining room was charming and cozy."
