About the Business
A Dog's Hide-A-Way is a unique institution located at 3700 Northeast 15th Avenue in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. This establishment was born out of the struggles faced by the owners in finding suitable care for their own dog while they were away. Traditional kennels did not suit their dog, and after their trusted caregivers moved away, they were unable to find a suitable alternative. This led to the creation of A Dog's Hide-A-Way, a place where dogs can receive the love and care they deserve while their owners are away.
The owners of A Dog's Hide-A-Way spent a year renovating the existing buildings on the property, which was once owned by hoarders. They also removed various structures and contents to create a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs in their care. The institution is grateful for the assistance of the Tuality Water & Soil Conservation District in restoring the nearby creek.
A Dog's Hide-A-Way officially opened its doors in 2017, fulfilling the dream of providing a "home away from home" for dogs in need of care. The institution is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and happiness of all furry guests, just like they would want for their own beloved pet.

We made the switch after kenneling our dog in a traditional facility and he would always come home with some new virus from being boxed in a small area with other dogs all day. The staff at A Dog’s Hideaway is very friendly and I love that the owners allow my dog to sleep in the house! "The best doggy daycare in town! This place is truly special. With more space to run around and play than a dog could dream of and the nicest owners/staff. Gary and Karen truly care about the well being of the dogs and go above and beyond for them. My little Barry goes there for daycare and I’ve boarded him as well. They’re so generous with their home, allowing him to sleep in the house and cuddle when he’s anxious. I cannot recommend this place enough! Your pups will be in great hands at A Dog’s Hide-A-Way."
