"BEST TEAM EVER. The care and support has been AMAZING. If only my primary doctors were like this. From the receptionist to the surgeons they are my heros"
"The office is adequate and professional, but DO NOT try and come for MAT treatment or addiction medicine. You will be treated like a criminal for seeking help, you’ll be out of meds every month and receive lectures about responsibility and accountability because the provider failed to do basic math for how long a 28 day period lasts. Get ready to know your pharmacist personally as they call on your behalf every month. Nothing you say to the provider makes a difference, they don’t care about you, they care about hypothetical audits from the DEA. I have had more withdrawal symptoms since starting MAT treatment than i ever did as a heroin addict. If you are vulnerable, and not pretty secure in recovery, heed this warning, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR RECOVERY. It is an uphill battle just to get your meds on time EVERY SINGLE MONTH."
"It was my first visit to this office. Getting all the paperwork and stuff to build my file. When I saw the doctor she was more concerned with getting my info than what I was asking about. The only medical complaint I had and she just brushed me off like it didn’t matter or was unimportant. Never felt they cared at all. Never going there again and I’m telling everyone I know to stay away"
"June 2: I subluxed my shoulder; later, my ribs; this set off a cycle off repeated dislocations I couldn’t recover or heal from because my torso was too destabilized. I tried to manage as best I could at home; on June 8th, I lost the ability to manage the pain on my own. June 8th: I go to MCMC’s urgent care. They glance at my shoulder, don’t bother to look at my ribs, and tell me X-rays are probably a waste of time. They also tell me there’s nothing they can do but give me an injection to help with the pain - at least for a little while. I take the injection. Within hours, my joints have dislocated again and the pain is unbearable. June 9-June 17: I message back and forth with Orthopedics, via MyChart, asking for help. No pain management plan is developed; no meaningful solutions are given; no medicine is prescribed. Apparently, I am too medically complicated; the buck cannot be passed fast enough. June 11: I called Water’s Edge Internal Medicine and waited six hours for a prescription for pain relief, only to learn that they sent it to the wrong pharmacy. Then, after having to recreate the script and send it to the correct pharmacy, I discovered that the medicine they prescribed was an opiate - which I am allergic to; this is after asking the nurse at the med station, multiple times, if this new medication was in the opiate family and explaining how deathly allergic I am to any medication in that group. They quite literally could have killed me with their negligence if I hadn’t bothered to follow up. And, after all off that, the doctor couldn’t be bothered to prescribe an alternative pain medication. I was left managing pain at a 9/10 level with over the counter medications. It’s June 23. Still no help. No pain prescription or management assistance. No PCP (mine’s on maternity with no one to replace her). No continuity of care. No case management. No solutions. Just agony. 1 week yet before a PT or PA can see me. No follow ups on my well being or mental health. I’m a number in a computer file. A problem patient. Not a person. There is insufficient coordination of care at MCMC. God help you if you don’t manage your own case / are too sick / in too much pain to do so."
"This review is of the office phone staff, not of the doctors. The doctor we saw was very nice. I was to bring an elderly, forgetful, relative to her first appointment to this office. I live in The Dalles. She lives in Hood River. I had been told her appointment was a certain time in the afternoon, but she called me and said she had a note saying her appointment was in the morning at a certain time. Since it takes 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours to go to get her, load her into the car, and take her to the appointment, I wanted to avoid making the trip twice, so I called the doctor's office to clarify the time of her appointment. I already knew both times, so was not asking for privileged information. The person on the phone absolutely refused to tell me when the appointment was. So then I asked her to just tell me if the time I mentioned was when her appointment was. She still refused to say. This is NOT prohibited information under HIPPA law! So, not wanting to make my relative miss her appointment, I left to go get her. When we arrived for the morning time that her note said, we were told that we were too early, and to come back at the afternoon time. (We showed them the note that gave the morning appointment time.) So I took her back home so she could have lunch, etc. I stayed in Hood River until time to take her back, since if I came back home I'd have no time to do anything except immediately turn around and go back to Hood River to get my relative. Then I got my relative and took her to her appointment. By the time the appointment was finished and I took my relative back to her home and then came back home, I had spent 8 hours, and at least 4 of those hours were wasted due to the receptionist, who had answered the phone that morning, being a jerk and refusing to clarify the time of the appointment!"
