"My grandparents (the Wardens) owned the house on 38th street. This was in the backyard. In the late 60's there was no fence around it, and we used to climb on this monument."

"The backyard of 5298 Old Dominion Drive has the northeastward side of this historic stone. The homeowner granted me permission to enter the backyard to see it. There is a flight of stairs on the side of the home, which leads to a gate to get to the Stone. The homeowner’s instruction. Lock the gate after entering the backyard to see the Boundary Stone, and lock it when you leave. 5145 38th Street North, has the northwestward side of this Stone, in the backyard. The homeowner was very cordial in letting me enter the rear environs of their yard to view it. It was awesome to see this monument from both vantage points!"

"Nice to see this boundary stone, from 1790, still in place where it was set, with a little iron cage around it. But access is difficult -- it's in a gap in the fence between the backyards behind 5137 and 5145 38th Street, N. Arlington. Ask permission at one of these homes. Do not try to access from the Old Dominion side, there's no parking and a very steep hill and you still need to enter private property."
