"Small room, stained sheets and a very sketchy parking lot were my first impressions but ok, you get what you pay for. What brought me to post a review is the fact that the motel snuck an additional 99 dollar charge onto my Visa for no apparent reason (this was separate from the refundable room deposit) that I had to request a refund for. No explanation for this was offered. If you stay here, keep a close eye on your credit card statement."
"Clean rooms, nice host, and overall cheap rates. Next to Voodoo donuts and some coffee shops. The buses to go into Portland stop right outside! Parking is also included. Would stay again and would definitely recommend!"
"Great value for the location, not to mention parking is included and right outside your room. It has been recently remodeled and the rooms look really nice. Food from the previous guest was left in the fridge, but everything else was clean (it happens)! We will definitely stay again!"
"It's a very... quaint hotel, which is fine by me. There's the bar next door that's noisy and the trucks/buses air brakes at the intersection are a bit unpleasant. This all depends on what day of the week it is too: Weekends: Noisier bar Weekdays: More trucks/buses. Your neighbors can be heard without any desire to do so, especially when... well, we're all adults here, so let's leave that moot. The rooms are also.. quaint but are nicely done up and have a modern look that's not the ever so popular industrial minimalism which is a tad ironic, as far as I'm concerned. Definitely clean rooms. You can tell how well housekeeping is at any motel/hotel by the dirtiness found at the bottom of the socks you're wearing or the bare feet you're baring, around the room. This is most applicable to hardwood floors but not exclusively, which is kinda heebie jeebie inducing. The manager can be kind of a jerk, I've noticed on subsequent stays which pretty much for me drops down the total score and sours the experience."
