Shoe Mill - Clackamas

"My mom has bought 90% of her shoes from Shoe Mill in Clackamas for the last several years. She’s always recommending them to her clients at work and has loved going there for years, but we will be taking our business to the Bridgeport Shoe Mill instead. On 3-3-2020, she bought a pair of shoes and $50 insoles. She checked for other colors online and saw that they were $40 less than she just bought them for. She went back in and asked if they would price match. Instead of saying something along the lines of “No, I’m sorry we don’t, she got yelled at. The tall man with dark hair (Eric the manager) that has apparently sold shoes for over 30 years literally freaked out on her in front of another customer. He started screaming at her about how online stores “don’t pay for rent and the lights in here” and how “he’s helped her all these times” while pointing his fingers at things around the store and at my mom. My mom got scared and walked out. Also, when she got home she realized he gave her the wrong size. I refuse to let my mom give this place her business anymore. If this is how they treat people who have bought dozens of shoes from them, they don’t deserve our business. The man who yelled at her should be ashamed of himself, yelling and humiliating a lady for asking a simple question. Update three years later; we thought we would give them another chance. An awful middle aged woman with curly hair was working and annoyed as soon as we walked in.Her tone was awful. Wouldn’t help with my mom with a return because we bought them from a different location. I walked out. Never spending another dollar here."

"Robin did not seem too interested to help the customer. My experience was probably one of the worst that I've had since I've been coming to shoe mills for 25 years. I probably will not ever shop at this particular one again. Ps they willnt match the price"

"Would not recommend. Incredibly rude customer service. No smile. They act like you are inconveniencing them asking for sizes or help. Unsure why you would work with the public if you dislike them so much. Went to another local shoe store and so happy I did. Shoe mill customer service leaves much to be desired. I will never be back."

"I ordered two pairs of shoes and was very pleased with one of the pairs. I was very disappointed in rhe second pair as it did not match the picture or the color that was shown, and even more disappointed in the customer service that charged me $10 to return shoes that were misrepresented on the website. Seriously, $10 is a small price to pay on your end to keep a customer happy and coming back, which now I will never do."

"I've gone here for years! I went in to look at a certain style of shoe. Not specific on brand. Had great help by a manager? After trying on 2 pair, I had decided that I wasn't 100% on them. I was offered to try on a pair of inserts that were amazing!! I took those out of my shoes before leaving and gave them back . I said thank you, appreciate your time and have a great weekend. Not ONE word. No response what so ever from a manager. All because he wasted his time on a non sale customer? Our family wont be returning to this location where we spend an average of $100+ per pair for shoes/sandals. I don't usually leave bad reviews but here ya go!"
