"I'm a homeowner in the area. I walked to this venue, and upon inquiring about their bubble tea was promptly kicked out for how I looked. I was dressed well, but casual with an appropriate winter jacket. I'm not sure if the owner or whomever runs the establishment is racist or what because I simply asked what was different about me in comparison to the other people there, and instead of giving me any useful information they quickly escalated to threatening to trespass me. I do not look like a houseless person and have been told I have a kind face, so I don't know what's up with this establishment, but they don't like new costumers apparently? Pretty sure I left this review or one like it in the past, but somehow businesses can get them removed. I'm in the top 20% of reviewers in Portland, at least, haven't checked lately. I do not recommend this place."

"First, the prices are about what you are charged at any other corporate coffee shop and about a dollar to $2 more than at your ma an pa locations. Service is friendly when they are present and not gone somewhere with the doors locked and the OPEN sign on. Finally, the atmosphere, it's a coffee shop that feels like a mini mart was crammed behind the counter with so much extra stuff I kind of forgot why I was even there. The main seating area is also confusing with a office desk for sale and a random assortment of chairs and couches that are all broken down and trash I had a hard time hearing my friend I was sitting next to when, I can only assume, the owner's kids came into the shop and started helping themselves to whatever they wanted behind the counter and then came out and one of them watched a movie as if they were in the privacy of their own home and the other one did similarly while playing a video game on their phone both at full volume. The older one actually told the younger one to turn the volume down so he could hear his movie better. I find it very frustrating that the owner didn't seem to care what a nuisance his kids were being. I find it strange that they were also selling Bluetooth headphones behind the counter. I got the impression that the owners essentially treating this as child care. Perhaps they should open up a child care facility upstairs and then he can really bring in some money and annoying kids will just be expected. They seem to encourage people to hang out and work I just don't see how anybody's getting anything done there with the owner's kids screaming and being a nuisance."

"I used to buy my drinks from different places. But I went to this place about one year ago. I found out they have more than other places drinks. And I started buying different kinds. I found out the taste is better than others. The service is Excellent and you can study inside the coffee shop because the business is not noisy. I found out they have spa and tanning beds in."

"We don't automatically think of 82nd Avenue as a typical coffee shop "spot"....but Mocha Express turns out to be an awesome place to go. I love everything about this place. It's super spacious, very clean and the staff is friendly. Every drink I've ordered has been exactly right. There are a few things that make it unique...like how they sell sunglasses (I bought some with my order one time)....and they have some wonderfully old funky rolling chairs. (extra comfortable). It's a great place to read, work, visit or think."
