Pig 'N Pancake

"Their servers need some real training. When I'm being ignored or forgotten or just "left alone", five or ten minutes can feel like forever. I had no idea who our server was until she finally walked up to the table. Then she asked if we were ready or would we like more time. My wife and I both blurted "No! We're ready" before she left again. She suggested the sourdough cakes over the classic cakes, and they were worth trying, but after she dropped off our food and brought me more coffee, I never saw her again. She never asked if liked the sourdough cakes (I did); never checked if we wanted more coffee or water. I was wondering when she'd bring the check, then noticed it under the creamer caddy. She must have stuck it under there when she brought me that one coffee refill. She didn't even acknowledge it when she did it. I tipped about 18% but that's only because I'm in the restaurant business and can't bring myself to tip poorly no matter how neglected I feel. The servers here should be taught about check-backs and table touching. Just because we're not your table doesn't mean you can't smile and acknowledge us. Every table is your table. Every guest is your guest. I've been looking forward to this restaurant since the last time we were in Astoria years ago. Now I just feel disappointed and a little cheated having spent $60 for a meal I would have gotten for $30 at Denny's. Your food is better, but it ain't 2X better. You hurt my feelings Pig'n Pancakes."

"Excellent breakfast. The cooks know what their doing for sure. As for management very rude, unprofessional, airing out employees private information. And when advised not to for safety reasons, I was told they were management and could converse openly were ever they wanted. Employee rite ups, employee schedules, employee names should not be aired loudly in front of customers. Excellent kitchen sink omelettes, cute keepsakes for purchase, kind enough to give a homeless person water. Different day of course. Thank you pig n pancake love you establishment don't care for the manager w the long hair older gal. N her lil minion girl."

"Unfortunately due to extreme increases in prices the past few years, this has to be taken into account moreso than in the past. I'm okay with paying higher prices but the quality and experience must justify this. For the four of us our total bill was $130. That doesn't jive with the quality, quantity or overall satiation of the food."

"A consistent classic diner breakfast spot with gluten free toast and gluten friendly pancakes available. My go to pick is the Junior Plate, but if really hungry will get the Bacon and Eggs. Tried the Kielbasa Skillet with smoked chicken kielbasa substituting hollandaise sauce for the country gravy and would order this again but rarely since it was rich. The Marionberry syrup is a favorite for pancakes, but they also have sugar free maple syrup available. A great choice for large groups with indoor seating only. All locations are extremely popular and can get busy, but is worth the wait."

"This is by far one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! The buttermilk pancakes are delicious but they are a little small so get more than two! Kielbasa Skillet was amazing as well. A must try in my opinion. The atmosphere was great and the service was fantastic."
