"Great sales pitch, good install, ZERO support. To LAMORINDA neighbors, if you are considering JJ Heating for your HVAC needs, pls read before deciding: I made a huge and costly mistake going with JJ Heating & Air to install my new (over $25k) dual HVAC system just little over a year ago. I give credit that the system was installed expediently and had been working trouble free for the first year. Unfortunately, this year, my downstairs unit was not functioning. I called JJ, and a tech came out promptly to discover that rodents had chewed my thermostat communication wire (wire that runs from thermostat to AC unit). I painfully understand and accept that that was my problem responsibility. I paid JJ $1k to run a new wire and encase it in a protective conduit (as a naïve homeowner, I wrongly thought the company with its so-called expertise and experience would have advised on how to better protect the wire full well knowing during installation there was rodent damage to the ducts; but again, I take full responsibility for not being more knowledgeable). However, next thing JJ tells me is that I need a new $875 thermostat and replacement of 3 electronic boards shorted by rodents chewing wire connecting thermostat to the AC unit all totaling additional $2,400 incl labor and all outside of warranty because rodent damage is not covered. To clarify, the rodents did not get to any of the components. This would seem to me like if I inadvertently damaged the wire between my cable box and my TV then both cable box and TV would sustain damage. Again, I understand natural disasters are not covered under warranty; however, how do I know the damage was not caused by the re-wiring of the new thermostat wire or if damage was pre-existing? Also, how does JJ know the expensive thermostat AND every other electronic board would also needed replacing? I personally called the Daikin AC manufacturer directly to better understand their warranty process and was informed that the installer would need to bring "damaged" components to a certified distributor and then file a warranty claim. Well, this apparently was not done in my case...only assumption that if the customer buys all brand new guts it will work again. I have been trying to talk to someone at JJ who could explain to me how/why the equipment was failing and why the warranty was so quickly dismissed, automatically assuming that the wire damage blew everything else out. No call back ...but funny, I get the $$$ estimate dated the day after tech visit requesting my approval for the work to be performed when you have not even fully verified that every electronic component has failed, including the expensive thermostat. I read an earlier review from a customer who gave 5 stars for installation and qualified that the positive review was perhaps pending to be updated based upon any service issue. Beware! I agree with the good install part but can sadly say that the company DOES NOT HAVE YOUR BACK and only seems to want your wallet. This "wallet" part may not be completely fair, but the "back" part sure seems to be. The people there seem generally friendly but now appear more smiling faces ready to stick you given the opportunity. The company will likely rebut that this review comes from an unhappy customer and that rodent damage is beyond their control, which are both true. But, apparently they did not even attempt to help me to honor the so called 10 year warranty protection. As of this writing, I have been down for 20 days....so obviously I am not a priority. I take valuable time to share my experience here to document my trials, help someone else that may be evaluating install of new HVAC system, and perhaps receive a little hard to get attention. I am more than willing to take down this review when I have received a complete understanding why every component has failed as a result of the wire damage and why no real attempt was made to make a warranty claim. If the fault is my own, then I will own it. The length of this review reflects my frustration with JJ."

They got the job done perfectly and on time and helped us finance the installation. I have nothing but good things to say! Great company!"

"Had a leak from the furnace/blower so looked on google to find a reputable heating and a/c service firm. Found JJ. Very professional initial interaction, set an appointment (3 days out, but could have been quicker, if I wanted a slightly higher visit charge). Constant communication/confirmation of appt and tech arrival time. Diego was outstanding, providing diagnostics and recommendations. Turns out most likely a dirty filter causing excessive condensation. Diego took the time to talk through potential causes, how the A/C (and water heater) worked, and thoughts (when asked) about remaining system life and replacement alternatives. Really appreciate the low-pressure sales “push”. Diego was most interested in dealing with the issue. Would easily recommend Diego/JJ."
"Hired them for annual HVAC maintenance service since my usual HVAC company never return my calls. Scheduling with JJ was easy and I appreciate their text confirmation system, with picture of the technician prior to the service. Diego was the technician who serviced my system and he was very professional and answered all my questions. Highly recommended."
