Golden Star Cleaners

"I am really disappointed with my most recent service at this dry cleaner. I have been going to the dry cleaner every summer to wash my comforter for years. I have Bulldogs who sleep on the bed with me and tend to drool on my comforter, so during the summer months when it’s too hot to use it, I get it dry cleaned here. I usually am very pleased with their service. However, this past summer I took my comforter in to get it dry cleaned, per usual, and I first noticed that I was charged an extra five dollars for it. When I asked what the extra five dollars was for, I was told it was because it was extra Fluffy. I thought this was a bit odd, since I had never been charged that before, but it was only five dollars, so who cares right? So I waited over a week and never got anything saying that my comforter was finished being cleaned. Previously I had received a text, but this time I didn’t, so I decided to stop in and see if it was finished. When I got there they had it in a bag, ready to go and said that it was all done. So I left the cleaner, and like usual I waited until I got colder to take it out of the bag. Unfortunately, when I did finally take it out of the bag, it still had drool all over it (I tried to post a video from the day I opened it, but google won’t upload it, so it’s on Yelp instead.) I called the cleaners to report that it didn’t look like it had been cleaned at all, and I was told that there was nothing they could do about it because I waited so long to take it out of the bag. I was also told the owner would call me the following day, and never did. While I understand this is partially my fault for not opening it right away, I also don’t appreciate paying for a service that I didn’t receive. I’m very disappointed with this cleaning, and unfortunately, will have to find another dry cleaner moving forward."

"I love this place! Best dry cleaners! I've been coming here for years since it was under previous ownership and they've only gotten better since then. They always get my clothes super clean even though I'm clumsy and stay spilling food and drinks on myself. The staff is sooo friendly and personable and really make you feel at home. One time i went to go pick up my clothes after they had closed (my bad) and i was leaving on a business trip the next morning, they went through all the trouble of going back and getting my items for me. They really saved my butt lol, I can't say enough good things about this place! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!"
