"I am surprised at the low reviews here. I have had Exclusive Care for many years and have always received great service. I have a private primary care Doctor of my choice that I am happy with. Whenever I have had an issue, the Exclusive Care customer service has been very helpful. Another perk is that this health plan is much less expensive than the other options I have. I am VERY happy with Exclusive Care."

"I have been very pleasantly surprised with this health plan. The one thing I am dissatisfied about is that the doctor I have been seeing for a decade is not one of their providers. That said, the customer service when I call has been quick and reasonable. Because they are relatively small, case managers seem to have more autonomy in decision making. Even when I have had to call for an immediate referral to see my specialist, they were able to approve it while I was there in the office. This was a HUGE help to enable me to continue my care uninterrupted by red tape. I have also become a huge fan of Rubidoux Pharmacy, which is where my maintenance medications come from. While they are open only during business hours and there is no drive thru, it is also not crowded or chaotic. When the pharmacist noticed something that didn't make sense, she not only was able to consult with me on it, but contacted the doctor's office right then to ensure she understood the situation and whether it was okay to dispense the medication. This pharmacist has the bandwidth to catch errors! The pace at convenience/drugstores...not so much. Their coverage of diabetic supplies and medications is fabulous! Haven't seen anything else this good! Now, we have not utilized hospitalization...and I hope we never do. The distance to the county hospital is not at all convenient to us, and there are two others closer. Fortunately, they do cover ER visits at these closer facilities."

"Giving them a star just because I have to or else not even a star. I have been waiting for about two months now for a referral. They continue to send me to a provider who continues to refuse to see me because they only see pediatrics and not adults. The fact that we work for the County and our customers can get better care through Medi-Cal is ridiculous. I have been contemplating writing a review because it does represent who we work for, but I've lost my patience. You have to literally call all over the place for months before they get anything done and even then you're still in limbo waiting and waiting for them to figure it out. Messages are not returned. Overall, not worth getting this insurance that charges the same as Kaiser. I've given them a chance now for several years, but they've gotten worse every year."

"Never utilized my health care benefits before, so on 9/6/17 at 2:45pm I attempted to navigate the Exclusive Care System and this is what I experienced. Extremely poor service when contacting member services to obtain information regarding a medical specialist. A representative by the name Candid was distracted (papers rustling), short & evasive in her response when asked if TMJ was a covered benefit. Her response to me was "You need to go to your Primary care & get a referral" when I asked if she knew weather TMJ was a covered benefit her response was "No". I then responded by saying, why would I go to my Physician to get a referral if the benefit isn't covered? her response silence. When asked if she could tell me where I could find covered benefits information on the website. Her response to me was "on the bottom". I then asked if she could provide me with a little more assistance by telling which page on the website she abruptly moves away from phone and makes a feeble attempt to search (I only become aware of this after asking are you still there?). The end result was I should click on "benefits" , but there is no listing of covered benefits on the website. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! This is what we are provided as health Care service when working for the County of Riverside, Really Pathetic!"
