"Dr. Kenly was informative and reassuring. He is an expect at what he does. I have had severe back and leg pain for 2.5 months due to two herniated discs. PT, daily stretching exercise, light walking, and a first epidural had gradually improved my situation such that 8-9 pain (on scale of ten) had gone down to 3-4. I wasn't sure I needed #2 epidural and voiced that the day to have them. Dr. Kenly said, no worries. We could easily stop and not do it. The chances of it hurting anyone are extremely slim, so I could say I had gotten better naturally and the shot hadn't impeded that, or that it could lock in or extend the benefits. He even offered that there had been a study that showed that some who received a placebo shot of saline solution had gotten better, but that cortisone can widen and lengthen the painlessness. His openness and responsible approach all helped quell my worries. The first day was sore from the shots. But three days out, I am feeling better than I felt before the #2 epidural. My pain level is down to 1-2. I even want to try swimming lightly and regularly again!"
