"Banfield will take advantage of you and try and get as much money. We went for neuter procedure today and the girl Stephanie was very rude and continued to lie about going over with me $100 extra for the dog being overweight. She constantly cut me off in our conversation. I will end my membership with Banfield for rude behavior. We took our pets home. Oh and they tried to sell us ablation for $245 where it is only $45 elsewhere. Never again. Rude and poor service! We are taking our dogs out of there. They are very manipulative and lie. No no no no no"

"DO NOT USE BANFIELD HOSPITAL UPLAND LOCATION! I have pet insurance through this hospital for over a year and a few months ago the primary vet at this location preformed a deep cleaning for my dog under sedation and in the midst of the procedure called me explaining some extractions were needed and gave me a quote for the cost which I approved. When I went to pick up my dog, they tried to bill me an additional $400! Which wad literally double the cost I was quoted so I refused to pay the additional fees that I was not informed of ! Yesterday my dog was attacked by another dog and needed emergency surgery so I called BANFIELD HOSPITAL as that’s who my insurance is through and I pay them monthly for this insurance! The doctor on staff was the same doctor that did the cleaning and he refused to see my dog due to the discrepancy we had over the cost of the cleaning! How is that possible? I’m paying for insurance but unable to use the hospital? Where is the compassion and care for an animal that has been in their care for over a year? My dog was bleeding and needed surgery and several stitches! The receptionist at the hospital actually made the appointment for our dog and told me to bring him in right away and 20 minutes later called me back apologizing that the vet refuses to see him and referee me to a different hospital that didn’t accept the insurance which cost me $2800. SHAME ON YOU BANFIELD OF UPLAND! OUR ANIMALS ARE NOT TO BE DISREGARDED AS IF THEIR LIVES ARE MEANINGLESS! THEY ARE OUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND PRECIOUS TO THE OWNERS!"

"How many different ways can I explain to you to NOT go to this pet hospital. On Wednesday I booked an appointment for my dog, to go in this morning on Saturday. I had to drop him off, which I’m not crazy about, but figured I’d give it a try. I was advised they would call me with the vet to go over treatment. I left the store and went to get some lunch and after two hours, I returned to the store to check-in. A different front desk agent asked me with an attitude “you weren’t told it could be hours before he’s seen?” Um…no. I wasn’t. She told me it would be at least ANOTHER two hours before the vet saw him. As if this was some sort of walk-in clinic. What exactly is the purpose of an appointment then??? So my dog is back there without me and you’re just keeping him for hours unattended? No ma’am. Not at Petsmart where there are multiple lawsuits for neglect and death with their grooming department. (Google it.) Not comfortable with that… at. all. I just took him home. I’d rather find a vet where I can go in with him like a normal clinic. Something is off."

"My pet went to Banfield hospital a total of about three times before it was stolen. I am being charged (to add insult to injury) almost $1000 for a contract with fine print that I wasn’t aware of even though the dog is not here my credit card is being charged monthly for services. This spells criminal behavior in my opinion. Be aware that the staff is amazing. The animal was treated well. The outlet that controls their accounting is different from the actual location. I can’t see how I’m being charged for services when the animal has been long gone. This is wicked and I would not trust them with another animal."

"Banfield hospital is usually located inside petsmart. It would be nice to have the hospital sign right below petsmart, not right next to the building where it seems like to be a different building by itself. Otherwise, the location/environment is up to par with cleanliness and has a good vibe too. I had a scheduled appointment for my cat and was seen reasonably in decent time. The technician/front desk person was working hard to answer the phone calls, have the owner's pet checked in, answer their questions, explain the treatment plan and pricing, and among other things. It would be nice to have the establishment have two techs working the front desk as to not overwhelm him/her with all that's happening up front. When I checked in my pet. The techs and nurses were REALLY great. They answered my questions, were nice and always smiling. After an estimate of 5-10 mins, the vet/doctor came out and explained to me her assessment findings, differential diagnosis, and treatment plan. She explained it in layman's terms which is always appreciated and had great patient/client communication skills. After that, they did what they do best and gave me an estimated time when they'd call back to pick up my pet. From there, the usual discharge instructions were given in an efficient and kind manner. Overall, it was a great experience."
