"I would not recommend this Veterinary hospital. They don’t tell you how much anything is going to cost, and then hit you with the bill. Obviously I paid what needed to be paid, but it would have been nice to see a breakdown. The Veterinarian we see now always gives a breakdown before anything happens. Their practice seems shady."

"DO NOT CHOOSE THIS VET!! We have taken all of our pets to this veterinarian for more than five years now. Unfortunately, I suppose it is when a crisis occurs that you find who people really are. We have a brand new small puppy who took a tumble down the stairs. After the fall we noticed a limp, I gave it a few minutes to see if it would get better but instead of getting better she instead refused to even get up, even for one of the treats she really likes. I called our vet, Gilroy Veterinary Hospital, to ask them if I could bring her in for them to take a quick look. This is where the trouble began, not only did they say they would not see her today but then they said the earliest appt they could give me would be at the end of next week. Mind you, I told them she could not walk and that she had landed on her back on the hardwood floor. After getting over my shock at their lack of interest or compassion for my dog, I finally asked the gal on the phone to please, please, please ask the doctor to see her. When the gal came back to the phone she said, “The doctor says she is too busy and does not have time. She suggests you take her to the emergency vet in San Jose.” Maybe I’m old fashioned but I believe in customer service and in taking care of your clients. We chose this vet because we trusted them to do what was right. We trusted that, in an emergency, they would be the ones to care for our pets…especially when that emergency happens during business hours while they are open. For crying out loud, how many pet emergencies do they see on one day? I’m guessing not very many, yet they still refused to make the room for our little puppy. As of today I will begin the search for a new vet. A vet that actually cares about the animals they choose to take care of, a vet that understands the level of trust we humans put into them when choosing care for our companions. I will choose a vet with a staff that does not echo the poor service I experienced today or the lack of understanding I felt emanating from the woman on the phone with me today. If you are looking for a new vet, DO NOT GO HERE."
