"I’m not sure what happened, but there’s inconsistency between therapists and locations. I had a phenomenal experience at the Irvine location however when a new training injury arose, I decided to try the Tustin location for proximity. It appears many patients are here for OT maybe from their employer and I did not see many other athletes throughout my visits (for reference I am an experienced powerlifter). I got screened again as a new patient and assigned to a student PT who I could tell was a little uncertain and made me feel uncertain with his practice. After the initial assessment, he told me I needed to come in 2x/wk for 3 more weeks and immediately booked me for future sessions. Me being trusting that therapy takes time, I went through with the process. While my therapist was professional and courteous, I didn’t like how I was responsible for performing guided rehab exercises with him observing me 60% of the time and there was probably 30-40% manual treatment during our appointment (which would last 50mins instead of 1hr). Then I was also assigned “homework” outside of the facility to perform to strengthen my weak area (which was never emailed to me on time, lol). I brought up this concern to him which he stated was his method of treatment. After a month following this process I did not find relief in my sciatica pain or glute area and felt gypped as I’m paying full price ($600+/month) for a student’s opinion. I’m being treated elsewhere by an actual Dr. and after 2 appointments I’ve already seen significant improvement as they were able to appropriately address the root cause of my pain."
