"I came into the gym very shy and very hesitant at first, but thanks to the welcoming environment I feel like this gym has helped me a lot in my everyday life when it comes to socializing. Thank you to Dina and Mari for being super welcoming. I had my first session with coach Alex, he was very helpful. I do most of my training with coach David who always pushes me to do my best and leaves no room for short cuts. I really want to give Chip, David, and Jose a shoutout for always making sure I’m in the gym regularly. Search parties are really a thing in this gym. Definitely recommend coming to this gym especially if you’re a beginner. The training is fit for all types of people. Grizzly’s and David’s classes are my favorite."

Look it up online, it is the best boxing gym in Sacramento, if not Northern California, regardless of you want to just get in shape or become a legitimate amateur/professional boxer. The coaches, staff, and community are the best part. The coaches are not only extremely technically knowledgeable with first-hand experience boxing, but they are kind, patient, and willing to bend over backwards to help you accomplish your goals. The community is so welcoming, everyone knows each other’s names and all skill levels are welcome. Such a different vibe than other gyms. Words alone cannot do this gym justice, you need to experience for yourself. I would give a 100 star rating if I could."

"JMBA is a pretty special gym. There's a level of care and attention to detail here that you just don't find at other fight gyms, and they do a really great job helping beginners walk in and get oriented. Their training classes and programs are thoughtful and intentional, and even the casual folks who work out there will get fit and learn some boxing. Everyone at this gym has a positive attitude, there are no egos. If you want to get more focused on learning the sport, there's an entire program designed to take you from zero to sparring or even competition, if that's your goal. I've had a really great experience at this gym, can't recommend it enough."

"I was very nervous about stepping into a dedicated boxing gym, but the anxiety went away after talking for a few minutes with Jose and Dina at the front counter. Taking this leap to invest in my physical health is one of the best decisions I made, and I'm glad I went with this gym. The coaches are knowledgeable in their craft and very patient with new comers. Even the veterans take the time to show you the ropes and give you pointers. I haven't been apart of something like this in years and I want to come back every day to improve my skills and hope to one day get in the ring and spar for real. Believe the reviews, there's no place like this. Update: After two months, I try to come every day. I'm doing two classes a day and I feel amazing.
