"Tdlr: Stay away even if desperate. Just go to urgent care. It’s likely you won’t even be seen by Dr. Bickman in a timely fashion. My first appointment here went great. I was promptly seen and my issue was handled. However I scheduled a second appointment for a new issue. Dr. Bickman repeatedly cancelled on me for surgeries. With the hustle and bustle of life I got my new appointment date mixed up and missed it. Still there was no compassion for my situation. I own that was my fault. I paid the $125 no show fee. Now almost a year later, I’m trying to come in for a UTI. I’m in a considerable amount of pain. On a Friday my appointment was canceled. Over the weekend the pain grew so bad I had to go to urgent care. I called and left a message with the answering service to be forwarded to the office so I would avoid the fee. And you guessed it they charged me another $125 fee despite calling to cancel the appointment."

"Zero stars. Could not steer you farther away from this place. I have seen Dr. Bickman a few times about an ongoing issue and I recently called to ask about an issue over the phone; a call that lasted close to 30 seconds and I ended the call when the doctors first response was to go to the emergency room. I was not told over the phone that this would be an appointment, nor did the doctors response make me feel as if it was more than a quick send off. I was charged $95 for an office visit and called the office to dispute when they told me that my insurance was responsible (which is false, my insurance states very clearly the cost of a specialty appointment. Dr. Bickman's office filed this "call" as an office visit). I stayed with this doctor as getting my medical records had become difficult after asking for them for months. After my first visit earlier in the year, I was informed that all visits moving forward would be $350+ and that would range based on help given. I called today to cancel an appointment, given that I saw this fraudulent charge, and the office told me they would charge me for another office visit in full for "missing" my appointment. A few more things because the above was just one of the many terrible things that this doctor has done in the last year. If you are thinking of using this doctor, do yourself a favor and read every single review below. I was dealing with a serious issue, I went to the emergency room. When I went in after the ER and shared how painful and concerned I was, the doctor quickly dismissed my feelings and responded in a way that completely undermined that any pain of that sort would happen with my issue. My fiance was appalled that a doctor would talk to me in this manner and as a woman, downplay emotions, making me feel dumb for my pain. The only reason I went back was because they failed to send me my medical records and given that she'd seen me for this multiple times, felt like the safest option. I have not felt safe one time being with this doctor. Dr. Bickman (and her team that fully supports this behavior) has been awful to deal with and I want to file a complaint officially at the ways they are abusing the medical system, use of insurance coverage, and speaking to women just trying to find a gynecologist that can speak transparently and supportively."

"I just received an email for a MedSpa opening up under Dr. Bickman. Seeing her name on the email prompted me to write this review, because it was the worst experience I have ever had with a gyno. I made an appointment because I struggle with prolonged menstrual bleeding. The doctor was late to the appointment and when I finally did see her, the entire process felt rushed. During the appointment we decided on starting birth control to counter the bleeding and I informed her that I usually take a mini pill since I am sensitive to birth controls with estrogen. On my way out he door the doctor wrote me a prescription for a birth control WITH estrogen despite our conversation less than 5 minutes prior. She had had a huge attitude when I asked her to change it. On top of that the script was only for three months which is wild. I have ALWAYS had my doctors give six or twelve month prescriptions. When I called to have the prescription refilled, I was informed I needed to go back to the office for a follow up appointment. Mind you, I had already paid out of pocket for the first appointment and returning to pay $200+ just to have her send a prescription out was off the table. I ended up convincing them to fill another three months over the phone, but the taste this experience left behind was dreadful. I do not recommend this dismissive, money hungry establishment to anyone. Save your mental health and your uterus."

"Beware of a $360 automatic fee upon first appointment. On top of paying $20 to park each time. Wait times are absolutely insane. The last time I was there I waited an hour and a half after my appointment time to be seen. They have attempted to draw my blood 5 times and successfully did it once. Meaning I had to go back into the office 2 extra times just for bloodwork they couldn’t even complete in the additional attempts. Never in my life has a doctor not been able to draw my blood that unsuccessfully. Completely wasted my time and felt super rushed during my appointment. You will wait forever and be seen for 7 minutes. The doctor seems like a nice lady but the practice is not well run and I’m not sure if the technicians are qualified to be drawing blood. Don’t waste your time. Plenty of other doctors in Santa Monica."

"I was told I needed a follow-up after my first visit, when I returned for the second appointment I was handed a clipboard with the "contract advising that I had to pay $360". This was never once mentioned, even when I called to confirm my appointment. I requested work off and drove about an hour for this visit and could not afford the $360. There is also a $125 fee to cancel. There is also a $120 fee to have your labs drawn that no one mentioned until they were actively drawing my blood. I requested a copy of my lab results and ultrasound results and haven't heard anything back for over a month. I just called again to ask for these and was told my ultrasound results were not saved. The ultrasound findings were the whole reason I needed a second appointment and I really needed a copy of these to follow up with a new doctor. This was such a waste of time and money. I left the appointment crying and I am now back to square one. **Update- the office asked me to remove this review and told me they will "graciously waive a record request fee" I wasn't even aware there was a fee for me to simply receive my lab results. I was then told my results were faxed, when I NEVER gave a fax number. I contacted the BBB, this place needs to be investigated."
